SCOTLANDS SPA HOTEL

Hotel is extremely run down and was extremely overpriced. Breakfast was edible but pancakes were raw on the inside and burnt on the outside. We arrived along with my parents who live in the area. The receptionist informed us that we didn’t need to register our cars in their empty car park as we were staying in the hotel. We ordered a round of drinks and sat outside right in the empty car park. The wine I had tasted like it had been opened the year before. I can get over all of that though, what I can’t get over is the cheek of sending both my Dad and my husband £100 parking fines 3 weeks later when we were guests at their shambles of a hotel and their staff apparently don’t know their own policy. My Dad sent a very polite email to the manager who replied that he couldn’t get involved as it’s a separate company that manages their car park 😅 Run for the hills away from this hotel.…

Parking Scam Beware

Booked a stay at the hotel and had drinks with family who lived close by outside as it was the only way to visit with COVID. Was never informed about parking fees nor was it ever on any of the properties information they gave to us upon checking in. 3 weeks later I receive an invoice for 100.00 for parking there during my 1 night stay. They also sent one to my family who we had sodas with there. When I called the property and asked about it they then stated that they don’t manage the parking lot. Where else would they want people to park if not in their parking lot. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this hotel.

very disappointing try camping next time

the picture of the front of the hotel is not what you get when you arrive. There were no parking spaces left so we parked on waste ground at the back of hotel and entered through a side door. On arrival on top of the £110 price we were charged £10 pound for parking when there is free parking on the street outside. The spa and pool are closed. the hotel is old and musty. The bedroom window was broken, terrible view, the radiator was loose. The wifi did not work. The tv was not tuned in to any cannels. We had to plug our own netflix in or we would have had nothing to watch. Tried to phone reception but got no answer. Bar had no draught beer and no wine selection, (had to get carry out from shops) No food available. Embarrassed staff. The heating was switched off at ten, cold room at night. Breakfast was a joke, in the morning we arrived to see a paper bag with our room number on it, 2 bits of bread one brown one white, a kids orange juice with a straw. Watched as other guests reactions to this terrible service were the same as ours. Felt very disappointed and ripped off and we would have had a better time camping by a loch in the rain. For another £30 more we could have been in the Athol palace. This was meant to be a special treat for our wedding anniversary but it was an awful hotel experience. We went to visit an iron age crannog the next day and got better service and wi fi sean and maxine…

Was here on the 26th of September was so disappointing on top of £109 for the room there was a £10 charge for car parking there excuse was to stop locals from using it 🙄🤔 also no cooked breakfast basically u get a wee paper bag laid out with your room number on it no hot drinks oh yku are told that you have a kettle in your room 🤔 and the bar honestly what a joke no draught beers or lager very limited wine 2 bottles of whisky and a gin and Miller and Stella bottles.. Beautiful views if u r lucky enough to get a room facing them beds comfy but in my opinion folks stay clear until its properly up and running oh and it has no restraunt u have to go elsewhere to the sister hotel absolute nightmare.

Faulty Towers

Shower was terrible a trickle of water shocking! No cooked breakfast! Front of hotel toilets shocking! That shocked we got up at 7am and left to go home to shower. During the last few months we have been to other hotels and a cooked breakfast is not a problem. Honest fact this hotel is going through refurbishment so please close for business open when finished. And sort the spider problem hallway room area.
