The Knockendarroch Hotel in Pitlochry is a little gem. We were made to feel welcome as soon as we arrived and were shown to a fantastic room which was accessed by going out of the front door and into an extension added to the front of this old building. My first reaction was

Immaculate hotel. Clean, spacious and comfortable. We were fortunate enough to get upgraded to a suite, which was fabulous. Large bedroom area, with separate seating area, and large bathroom with bath and separate walk in shower. The food was also great. No complaints at all.

Is there a set time for dinner? Do we need to reserve a table for dinner if we are a guest of the hotel?
There is limited space in the dining room hence one reason they normally cannot cater for more than 4 non-residents at dinner. We were asked to arrive for canapes at 6pm which is relatively early. The food is nouvelle cuisine, with much smaller portions than you will be used to in the States. Enjoy Pitlochry and its association with writer, Robert Louis Stevenson

Is the hotel far to walk from the train station? Many thanks.
Hi, the hotel is about 10 minutes walk from the station. It is possible to reserve a taxi, but as there are not many operating in Pitlochry this is best done in advance. Kind regards, Struan
