So I finally decided to try taking Alf the Wunderdug for an overnight stay in a hotel! MacKay's was picked due to location (we climbed Ben Vrackie) and ratings on TI. From the moment we entered the building it did not disappoint. We were made to feel so welcome, as was Alfie and the attic room, while compact and bijou,...

Had a very pleasant 2 night stay at McKays. Bar has a good atmosphere and the traditional music both nights was very enjoyable. Both breakfast and dinner were tasty and a bonus for us was that we were able to have our dog in the bar while we eat. Some places claim to be dog friendly but do not allow...

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel last week. Accommodation we stayed in was just across the main street in an annexe. Room was well furnished with complementary coffee, tea, hot chocolate and shortbread.Bed was comfortable, room warm enough and nice en-suite facilities. Although the breakfast we had during our two day stay was first class with fresh fruit, fruit...

Popped into restaurant for evening meal. Interior is spacious with a mixture of tables and chairs and cosy sofas. I opted for a ringer steak and my partner haggis lasagne, both were very good and excellent value compared to the hotel we were staying in. They have live music at weekends too. Good place to spend an evening out.
