Attended niece's wedding on 10 July and stayed the night before also. First impression on arriving at hotel looked like a travel lodge. Sorry, but wouldn't rate it as a 4 star hotel. Staff throughout the hotel were very friendly and very helpful. Service at Thursday afternoon lunch was very slow. Had to re-ask for menu and for waitress to...

On arrival was a lovely sunny day and the hotel setting was picturesque. Checked in and room was large with a massive bed which could easily occupy 3 people. Plenty of space to move around and for luggage. The reason I gave 4 stars which is not entirely the hotels fault but something I am sure they could manage is...

We booked this weekend trip after staying at their sister hotel "The Old Loans". We were booked in for dinner bed and breakfast for the 2 nights. Upon arrival the hotel looked nothing more than a travel inn. Four a four star hotel you expect more at a first glance. We had organised to be booked into a deluxe room...

I stayed at the Gailes Hotel 1 - 3 June 2015 as part of a golf group. The guys thought the hotel was fantastic for location and the quality of the establishment was really good, food for dinner & breakfast excellent and the staff (friendlieness, professionalism, etc.) left us with no complaints whatsoever - I and my golfing colleagues would...

The Hailes hotel is in a nice peaceful location. Not for those wanting to be in the centre of town though. Staff were very friendly. Room was not overly spacious but so comfortable. Only 2 floors to this hotel which was good for us. Lots to choose from the breakfast menu and obviously cooked to order. The food in the...

We stayed four of us for three nights and booked the Gailes Golf Experience: playing golf at nearby Glasgow Gailes, Western Gailes and Dundonald and had dinner twice. We selected the hotel based on being very close to all three courses, yet there seemed to be very little the hotel did to capitalise on this. Another hotelier would perhaps have...

We had our daughter's wedding at The Gailes on Sunday 24th and were absolutely delighted at the way every aspect of the event was handled so professionaly. Every member of staff was attentive and helpful - nothing was too much bother to them. We would highly recommend The Gailes to anyone whether it be for anything as grand as a...

The most uncomfortable twin beds ever, like cheap children's beds, had to sleep on 3 duvets to hide springs . Everything else about hotel nice, but more of a 3* feeling . Surprised to see people drinking pints of beer for breakfast, not the hotels fault, but perhaps explains all the 5* reviews.

From checking in until leaving everything about this hotel is 1st class, very friendly reception staff and waiting staff. We went to the hotel on a 5pm.co.uk deal and was great value for money. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to others
