The most uncomfortable twin beds ever, like cheap children's beds, had to sleep on 3 duvets to hide springs . Everything else about hotel nice, but more of a 3* feeling . Surprised to see people drinking pints of beer for breakfast, not the hotels fault, but perhaps explains all the 5* reviews.

From checking in until leaving everything about this hotel is 1st class, very friendly reception staff and waiting staff. We went to the hotel on a 5pm.co.uk deal and was great value for money. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to others

We had our wedding at the Gailes on Sunday, 3rd of May and it was AMAZING. Absolutely nothing was too much trouble and the day went like clockwork. Even when I had a minor mishap with my nails on Sunday morning the staff managed to help me sort it by getting Stephanie from reception to redo them. The Lagavulin Suite...

Just back from a DBB deal at Gailes and loved it. The accommodation was great, cleanliness faultless and the dinner and breakfast tasty. Rounding the whole thing off with an awesome treatment at the spa from Toni was the icing on the cake. The staff's attentive and friendly service made our overnight stay a real pleasure and we can't wait...

Our daughter was married on Saturday 25th April in the magnificent Lagavuin Suite. The accommodation provided by this suite is unsurpassed. The quality and presentation of the wedding meal received high praise from all the guests and the service of it was professional and friendly. Staff throughout the day were exception - no matter your request it was provided for...

A fantastic hotel, rooms well appointed and food was simply the best stayed 4 nights and tried different starters and mains in the restaurant, all were stunning, taste and quality and service as good as any. I would highly recommend this hotel as a perfect location for three top golf courses all within 10-15 mins walking distance of hotel. Stay...

The Gailes Hotel is in a fantastic location for golf courses, as well as having our own driving range and 9 hole course within the Gailes resort, and is very popular for destination for golf and leisure groups. We look forward to welcoming you back in the future

Incredibly good value to stay and play Glasgow Gailes, Western Gailes and Dundonald Links. All 3 courses (2 Open qualifying) within walking or short shuttle ride. Great food and excellent service. Only downside was the beds. which were a bit on the lumpy side.

Had a very pleasant evening elsewhere in Irvine and did not use the spa or gym at the hotel but the room was fresh and clean and nicely presented. Couldn't understand why a vehicle passing overnight, felt like it was in the room next to us, as I knew there was no open window as I shut it before going...

I stayed at The Gailes for two nights to attend my sister’s wedding at the beginning of April. Overall the hotel is good but it’s the service that makes this place really special. The standard bedrooms in the hotel are just that – exactly what you would expect from a hotel. Nothing more, nothing less. The honeymoon suite is to...
