Was here recently with a good few friends and we found it to be ok. The portions were good size but food was a bit tasteless (steak pie and potatoes) especially. Service was bit disappointing ..had to ask few times for drinks. Place is bit tired looking and everything was sticking to table .

I'll start by saying that I didn't stay at the Annfield just dropped in for dinner. I'd not been in the Annfield for about seven years, don't know why just a bit off the beaten track I reckon, but I popped in for dinner twice in a fortnight so they must be doing something right. The menu is pretty decent,...

Called in at Annfield tonight family group of 4 and found great new menu in place. 2 courses for £10 very good choices and food was excellent. Dining room was quiet but probably normal for 1st wednesday in january! Staff gave us a warm welcome and nothing was too much trouble for them. Quality checked several times to ensure we...

Stayed here overnight and while the room was comfortable and the service was very good, they really need to turn up the heating as it was very cold during the night making me thankful I was only staying 1 night.

Came here for breakfast with my partner. We were welcomed in and taken to the conservatory which has beautiful views. They put a heater on for us in case we got cold. Very thoughtful. We both had the big breakfast with a cup of tea. The food was perfect and the service was warm friendly and welcoming. Will definitely be...

Took my mother here for a wee treat and it was well worth it. Staff attentive and friendly as soon as we arrived had the option of seating, opted for conservatory as the weather was glorious. Menu and specials all explained and ordering was easy. Selected main dish from a la Carte menu and what a portion, it was delicious....

We were most impressed by the price of the hotel. First we thought we could afford it until we asked for the prices. You can eat drink sleep all on a budget. Its not a large hotel but the service is good and helpful.

Booked here after reading reviews about the place and chose one night as we had to be near the area earlier in the day. Upon arrival we were greeted by a friendly member of staff who told us what we needed to know. The room was large and pleasant and the en-suite quite large, apart from the outside of the...

Returned to the Annfield this September, after a visit in February 2016. As before all the staff were excellent and very welcoming. Their friendly and outgoing personalities were a breath of fresh air. The room we were in does need some TLC, but was very clean and comfortable. We will be back any time we are in the area.

Hello and thank you for your comments. Annfield House Hotel was built in 1850c and is a grade 2 listed building which makes making any changes very difficult And our windows are originals.( perhaps this is why you thought they were old, the are. Your shower not working is perhaps something we could have help you with if you had...
