It has been a couple of years since we last had a meal in the Sunninghill. I am delighted to say that the same high standards have been maintained since our last visit. Great service from all staff, a varied menu reasonably priced and our party of three thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Recommended
Stayed for 5 nights and although the hotel is a little old fashioned it’s immaculately clean, the staff were friendly, helpful, and generally just nice people. The hotel had everything in place for the COVID restrictions without being intrusive. If you don’t stay you 💯 need to go to their restaurant. The food is off the scale amazing! If only I lived nearer. A great hotel!
We had a few nights here during a slightly eased off period of the Covid-19 lockdown. It's not a large hotel but it is just a short stroll to the centre of Elgin and we felt at home for our stay. Our room was sufficient for our needs. TV had a good selection of channels but why hang out there longer than is necessary when the hotel restaurant is just downstairs? We ate each night in the hotel and have to say that the food was fantastic. It looked like a shortened Covid-inflicted menu but still had a very good selection of tasty meals. Had a different main course at each sitting and was never disappointed. The restaurant seemed very popular with many non-resident diners as well. Breakfast was just as good. The one thing that slightly disappointed was being unable to enjoy the advertised real ale selection in the bar. This was probably down to the Covid restrictions I imagine.…
While having family meal we all agreed that food was great and the staff very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend a visit. We will most definitely be back as soon as we can. Atmosphere was great
On a recent visit to Elgin, a friend took me here for lunch. We both had the venison burger with black pudding and blue cheese accompanied by salad and chips. It sounds a weird combination but it worked except I felt there was just a little too much black pudding. Altogether a pleasant lunch.
