My wife and I stayed in room 1 for three nights. The room was outstanding, very nice comfortable king bed with a good size bathroom. Dave and his wife were very nice and breakfast was delicious. You ordered your breakfast the night before by choosing your selection on laminated breakfast menu. Place was very clean. Definitely a nice place to stay in Nairn close to restaurants and a 15 minute walk to the waterfront. Highly recommend.

Booked very last minute, about an hour or so before arriving and opted for the £115 a night top floor room. We were apprehensive as we don't normally go for Guest-houses and the 'living in someone's house' bit. However, we were certainly NOT disappointed. The place is spotlessly clean and renovated / decorated to an extremely high standard throughout. Period features in abundance and the host David providing his full narrative as to the history of the family and the place certainly gave us a thorough and fascinating background. Breakfast was plentiful and with many choices offered. We are vegetarian but were not disappointed nor left hungry. The mushrooms cupped in a lettuce leaf with carrot sticks on the side was an odd addition, for breakfast but I cannot fault them for trying. Perhaps keep a few veggie sausages in the freezer for next time? The property is excellently located with restaurants a plenty within walking distance and the beach also not far away. The hosts went above and beyond, when we found that we'd lost my wife's ring. After apparently searching everywhere to no avail I understand that they even emptied and searched the vacuum bag before finding it and posting it back to us. Very, very relieved and very, very pleased. Thank you Rowena & David. For everything! :-)

Just left here and would highly recommend. Beautiful Victorian house with modernised rooms but still keeping with the ‘old’ style. Tea/Coffee and biscuits in room, spotlessly clean and David is such a great host with a good knowledge and good fun. Rowena makes a fantastic breakfast and runs a beautiful house. Excellent location right next to station and walking distance to High St and Harbour. Amazing, would return without a doubt!

Such a lovely experience from the get go. Met by David and shown to our very lovely room on the top floor, with a view of the garden. A very good sized room with a good comfortable bed and good shower. Very clean and nicely decorated. Just a lovely lovely property. Excellent breakfasts cooked to order. I have no hesitation in recommending this property.

I recommend Tali Ayer without any reservation! My wife and I stayed one night and we wish we could have stayed for several. The room (#5) was nice sized and comfortable. Comfy bed, pillows, chairs and modern bath, all sparkling clean. David and his wife are excellent hosts and fixed a delightful breakfast as well as providing excellent conversation. David, I forgot to thank you for your restaurant recommendation - the Class Room was perfect. The Tali Ayer is the all round nicest facility we have ever stayed at and I recommend it to anyone.
