I was very pleasantly surprised by the continental breakfast option which was presented as a plate of lots of different little choices which I thought was a lovely touch.
Just got back from a 2 night stay. All I can say is superb! Jess and Dougie are lovely, nothing is too much trouble. The room we stayed in was really lovely with a fab view of the estuary that leads to Loch Ness...
Never a good sign to see dozens of day ends outside the front door.On opening the door the carpet was filthy and not hoovered in a while. On opening the room door we were almost overwhelmed by the smell of smoke. The towels also reeked of smoke.I rushed to open the window which was full of cobwebs. The toilet flush was broken and lock was broken on bathroom door shared by 4 rooms.Eventually flushed shared toilet after 7 hours. No Covid19 sanitation. The Royal guest house Nairn is just terrible.I don't mind basic but I do demand clean!
Stayed here with my partner for a night. We wanted a break somewhere near the sea and we were not disappointed with the place. It was immaculately clean, and stylish. Beds were very comfortable and the price was outstanding! so much so, that when we came home, we booked again.
This guest house is a former MODEL for homeless people. It was supposed to have been updated the toilet and bathroom were on the landing with 4 bedrooms sharing them which can pose a problem at times as you can guess. Everything is really BASIC.
