#15 of 38 B&Bs / Inns in Nairn
Travellers' Choice
Washington House is an elegant Victorian house in the leafy west end of Nairn built in 1879, close to the beach and town centre. We have two luxurious en suite bedrooms with sea views, both individually furnished with comfort in mind. It is close to three championship golf courses, several distilleries, many castles and is a good starting point for the NC500. Inverness airport is just 11km away.

A beautiful b&b, wonderful decor and huge comfy bed. Luxury bathroom with huge bath and separate walk in shower. It was a wonderful nightlight and the perfect end to our north coast trip. Hosts are extremely welcoming (especially Connie!) We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Fab breakfast!

I don't have much to say about this accommodation. This is because I risk seeming to exaggerate only with compliments! The host was extraordinary, the property beyond expectations and everything at a fair price. Congratulations to the host who is seen doing everything out of passion. I'm glad I didn't choose any other options to stay in Nairn.

Our second visit this year and for good reason. Very comfortable, very friendly, very stylish and a very good breakfast. Oh and an excellent bathroom too! Very well placed for Inverness airport. We'd definitely book again.

My husband and I and our friends stayed with Arthur and Aileen for 1 week in September. We enjoyed the stay so much it was difficult to say goodbye! Their beautiful home is in a lovely neighborhood with plenty of street parking and a short walk to the center of Nairn, a very charming town. Our rooms and baths were spacious and very comfortable. A bountiful breakfast was cooked to order by Arthur and included his home made granola, bread, jam, fresh fruit and berries, french toast, eggs etc. Everything was served in a beautiful dining room. We could not have been more pleased with our stay and are still talking about it. We heartily recommend Washington House. Kathleen and Frank Davis

During the last nine days of September I was guest in the Washington House. The hosts are most friendly and the house is a joy - tranquil atmosphere and styled with lovely details. The haute-cuisine breakfast is made of the best fresh ingredients prepared and served with skill and a passion for the best. The room with a view to the Moray Firth is spacious, well styled - fresh home grown flowers! - and the bed (one mattress) is most comfortable. There is ample space to store away and empty your suitcase. It is possible to cook your own coffee or tea (provided) complimented with daily home backed cookies. The bathroom beautiful, high quality, modern and well equipped. Soap, body wash and shampoo as well as fluffy towels are provided for. Everything is immaculately clean(-ed). For me a most lovely stay, which allowed me to travel home well relaxed and with my lungs filled with fresh Scottish (N)AIR(n). I highly recommend this bed and breakfast to all who really appreciate a >5-star accommodation in a familiar setting with the best fresh, personally cooked breakfast, and can acknowledge all the care and work required to create this gem.
