We stay at Premier Inns a lot, and mostly they are pretty good. This isn't a good one. It's big, scruffy, grim and poorly maintained. The bed was the most uncomfortable we've ever experienced in a PI. The bed needs to be replaced. We need a room with a wet-room bathroom. As usual, the bathroom was fine, and fully accessible. But their wet-room equipped rooms are in a later extension, at least 50m from reception. And in between there are two steps with a nasty little ramp to one side - nasty because you have to navigate two doors to use it. Why do the wet-room equipped rooms here have a 4' 6" double bed? Most PI accessible rooms have a 6' bed that can be spilt into two if required. That makes much more sense, and there was plenty of room for it. The staff were friendly and helpful, but I wouldn't choose to stay here again. But there is a shortage of accessible rooms in the area.

Mattress uncomfortable with very lumpy pillows. Not what I expect of premiere inn. No option for room fan so had to leave window open which let the midges in. Very disappointed, and decided not to eat an evening meal or breakfast there as room reflected badly

I would have expected much higher levels of cleanliness in the current climate….using a disinfectant spray does not mean something is clean!! Levels of dust in the room and bathroom were unacceptable. We had breakfast included for our stay and the food was average and generally cold when it arrived. The guys in the restaurant tried their best and always seemed cheerful and approachable.

Upon entering the fort William, I was immediately met by rude and inconsiderate staff who clearly didn’t care about their job they were clearly untrained and were so stupid they were unable to preform the most basic requirements of the jobs. I’ve met toddlers who had better manners then the staff at the fort William. The place was a dump and I’d rather have slept in the garbage. To anybody thinking of staying here take my advice and don’t. It’s a waste of money and I’m sure that there are plenty of other places within the area that could provide a better quality of care. I hope after writing this I am able to prevent some other poor soul from going through the same trauma I had.
