The Lime Tree has two excellent sitting rooms on the ground floor, directly inside the front door, one of which is filled with maps. There is a third sitting room further in. The staff is quite friendly and our breakfast in the restaurant was first rate. The art work is nice. The big drawback for us was that in Room...

We were recommended to dine here by our hotel. When we first arrived, we were a little underwhelmed by the lobby, but the restaurant turned out to be first class. It was fully booked (always a good sign), with a mixture of locals, holidaymakers and American tourists. The menu was extensive, the service was excellent and the quality of the...

We stayed here for a long weekend and cannot faulty the hotel or restaurant.Friendly helpful staff , we stored our bags there before and after rooms ready as we were on the sleeper train allowing us to explore the area. Had a great meal in the restaurant, and both that and the breakfasts(included)were ample and delicious. We would stay again

The restaurant is in a hotel with an art gallery. Young enthusiastic staff. Open kitchen. Good selection of starters, smoked haddock souffle was good, we all had the belly pork which was very tasty but fatty, definitely needed the sharp fennel to cut through the fat. Good selection of deserts and wine. Good decor but a bit pricey.

We had a nice room in the old part of the house with good views over Loch Linnhe. Our evening meal was fabulous as was breakfast, a treat after walking for 7 days on the West Highland Way. The staff were friendly and helpful despite being busy with a wedding party and some rather unruly children, but they kept smiling...

Lovely pleasant staff, very tasty and well presented food however, just not enough for me. The main courses are the same size as the starters and we were not recommended by the staff to order any side dishes to go with them. I would also also say that it is a little on the expensive side considering the portion sizes....

Nice hotel with everthing, friendly hosts, good restaurant, close to downtown, lounge and a map room. Gourmet food. We had a sea view room. Only thing could not get shower to work, but it had a tub, so all was fine.

We stayed at The Lime Tree during a two day tour through the Highlands and Loch Ness. The old house has been beautifully maintained and the hotel room we were in was beautifully appointed. The furnishings, from the four post bed to writing desk to the claw footed tub perfectly suited the exterior of the building. Staff were very friendly,...

Had a lovely stay here on our way up to Skye and sadly made the wrong choice of eating outside of the hotel- big mistake! Evening menu looked amazing and the next morning breakfast was wonderful ! Room was really good as well, although there was some noise from the road traffic at the side of the hotel... This was...
