Booked a suite for a stay at the end of the highland way and before climbing Ben Nevis costing over £200 a night - arrived and shocked at the room. Basically a room with a disabled access bathroom ... nice toiletries in the bathroom but definitely not a suite. The room was boiling & window on to car park was open. We asked the cleaner to sort out heating - she said it was off and there were fans by the bed. Phone reception who told us it was a suite because there was a sofa in it - it was a pointless big chair. You couldn’t even see the tv from it - it was useful to put the suitcase on. There wasn’t even a wardrobe or bathroom robes. We complained they eventually said they move us to a 2 bedroom apartment... even worse. A very noisy family of 8 moved in above - no sound proofing. Kept us awake all night. Friends had the converted cell rooms they claimed to be twins and they were bunk bed rooms. There are some reasonable touches with this hotel - breakfast nice, toiletries good - but it is not a boutique hotel and they don’t have suites at all. Don’t book the apartments absolutely no soundproofing. Staff handle complaints remotely and quite badly.

Excellent hotel. Great design features. Clean comfortable room with lots of modern touches. Very comfortable bed. Staff were helpful. Good location. Highly recommended. Only niggle was poor sound proofing in this converted police station.

Location is excellent as it is at the top end of the main street near shops, bars and restaurants. The building is the old station and renovated throughout into this boutique - style hotel which means room size is at a premium. Great thought has been made to the design and decor of the en -suite bedrooms which are smaller than usual. Bijou, they definitely are, but this did not detract from our stay, in fact, it made an interesting talking point. Rain-forest showers. A pleasant lounge cum bar cum restaurant. Lovely helpful staff. The delicious breakfast was boutique style and made to order. All Covid restrictions were adhered to.

2 night stay as a family of 5, my wife, 2 sons (26 & 23), girlfriend and well-behaved Airedale, three double rooms, as we were riding the West Coast Highland railway from Oban to Fort William to Mallaig and back. The reception staff were very welcoming despite the restrictions of a pandemic. The 'accessible' room was very conveniently located although space was at a premium with not much manoeuvring space around the bed. But passable nevertheless. As serviced dining was not possible either here or in any other establishment after 18:00, the hotel staff invited us to make full use of the restaurant by ordering local take-away meals with full use of their cutlery, crockery, free coffee and clearing away. The Night Manager, Alec, was so very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Very good value for money and definitely recommend
