This place is delightful. The proprietors, Margaret and Ian, are warm, friendly, and knowledgeable. The breakfast was outstanding. This is not a cookie-cutter B and B; none of the unnecessary frills that seem to be required to get more stars in your rankings (cotton balls??? fancy bottles of cosmetics? 100 cable channels?). The bedroom was spacious, beds were comfortable, there... More

We walked the West Highland Way and Rhu Mhor was our last stop. This place was recommended to me by a good friend who stayed there last year. It was exactly as she described: warm, lovely and authentic. Out of all B&Bs on the way (7 in total) we liked it the most and now we know we couldn't have... More

We stayed here at the start and the end of the West Highland way, having stayed here many time before when in the area. Its just perfect. Ian and mother always most welcoming, with wicked sense of humour, clean comfortable rooms, and the best breakfast you will find anywhere. Scones, scones and more scones please Ian! See you soon...

Ol Virginny does not want a sleek hotel for neurotic rich folk. He wants a quiet family-run place with character. Rhu Mhor is just the ticket. Clean, pretty, old-school B&B with charming hosts, a groaner of a delicious cooked breakfast, a twee back garden for-gasp-reading a book in the gloaming, and support for early risers going hill walking. We had... More

We stayed here on the last night of walking the West Highland Way and it was a great place to finish. The house is lovely and our room was high up overlooking Fort William. It was bright with big windows and pristine white fluffy towels. We had shared facilities which were also spotlessly clean. Nice tea and coffee making with... More

We loved this friendly slightly eccentric guest house. You step into the house and it is like going back to happy times. There are two very cosy lounges and personal pictures make you feel part of someone’s home. The breakfast table is laid with fresh linen. The kilted owner takes your breakfast order and it is cooked fresh (unlike TrailRace... More

A great place to stay at the end of the west highland way. Packed with character and a warm and friendly welcome from Ian and his mum. Clean with a first class shower. Not far from town centre and they provided an excellent breakfast would defiantly recommend

Stayed for two nights at the end of the WHW. Homely, quiet, spotless, super bedroom, excellent breakfast . Ian is a most welcoming host which was great after several soulless hotels. Highly recommended.

Stayed here to start our Great Glen walk. The rooms are comfortable and clean and the bathrooms are brand new. There's a great deal of character here and both Ian and his Mother are unique characters I will remember fondly for ages to come. They both have a wicked sense of humour and really made us laugh. The food is... More
