The hosts of this B&B are very friendly and accommodating. This property is extremely clean and centrally located. The cooked-to-order breakfast was very good and the beds were the most comfortable we’ve had during our entire visit to Scotland. We would definitely stay here again.
We stayed for two nights at the Gatehouse in room no. 2. The room was up a few stairs which presented a challenge for carrying our bags up. It was one of the smaller rooms that we stayed in on our trip. A bit awkward finding places for a few large luggage cases and accessories. A large comfortable bed and a nicely arranged compact en-suite. Very good fast wifi was one of the best we experienced. One of the best cooked to order breakfasts we had as well. Great hosts Caroline and Ranald were welcoming and informative with regards to local attractions, road trip to Ullapool and booking a taxi etc. Free parking was conveniently located behind the Gatehouse.
The hosts were lovely and made one of the best breakfasts we’ve ever had. The rooms are very nice and the location is quiet, but not too far from the city center. If you find yourself in Inverness this place is a gem.
Arrived in the pouring rain to be greeted by Caroline (Mine Host) who was genuinely concerned about us. Shown to our very comfortable room with a view along Old Edinburgh Road. Small establishment catering for only 3 - 4 couples. Very intimate surrounds and a great home cooked to order breakfast. Caroline's advice as to where to go locally for dinner was spot on - the Heathmont Hotel - 10 min walk. Felt immediately at home and among friends - thoroughly recommended.
We had a 1 night stop over. We had 2 of the 4 rooms reserved. Our rooms were very clean and the beds comfortable. The breakfast was very good for us non vegans. The host was very professional and very nice. A nice short walk to a restaurant for dinner. Free parking available. The only downside I would say was I did let them know in advance that 2 people in our party were Vegans because they asked in an email if any special dietary needs but they didn't have much available at breakfast that they could eat.
