Had a gift voucher through buy a gift, paid an additional £17 for a superior room as we needed a travel cot and for a bit more room but when we arrived they gave us a family room- it was great. Huge comfy bed and lots of room for our son to play. Nice little perk having a bath too. We went out for dinner so couldn’t comment on meals. Booked a time slot for breaky and a time slot for the pool too which was fine. Only 6 people allowed in pool at one time which is a shame as my partner couldn’t them come with me and our son as there was a family of 4 in but I understand obviously due to COVID restrictions. Breakfast was lovely and well organised too. Lastly, I forgot my phone charger and the girl on reception (didn’t get her name sorry!) gave me one for a few hours! Thanks so much, if we are ever back in Inverness, we will stay here again.…
Stayed for three nights. Very comfortable and cosy bedrooms. Breakfast was good with plenty of choice. Dinner menu although not large was excellent. Best fish and chips have had in a long time, the chef's homemade curry was also very good. Great desserts for those with a sweet tooth. Pool an added bonus. All COVID protocols in place. What makes the Craigmonie special are their excellent staff, friendly can't do enough for you
Myself and my partner stayed there for 2 nights. The hotel is clean but could do with a bit of a refurb especially in the hallways. The room we had was fine, bed was comfortable, bathroom was nice enough but again could use a bit of tlc. Have to say though that the staff are fantastic, a really lovely group of people that work there from the receptionists to the people on breakfast duty.
Just returned from a one-night stay and can only say we wish it could have been longer. Picked the hotel for a trip from Dunfermline to Beauly to visit a puppy were buying and can honestly say it's as good a hotel as either of us have stayed in for a very long time. All the staff we interacted with, from reception to dining staff were absolutely first class and a credit to the hotel. A friendly face can make all the difference and this hotel has no problems on that front. Our room - 114 - was booked as a standard double but it did feel better than that. Really well sized room and absolutely spotless. Shower was really good and the bed was comfortable so a good night's sleep was had by us both. Unfortunately the sauna was closed during our visit but we did make use of the swimming pool which was really nice. Changing areas were spotless and the pool was plenty warm enough for us to enjoy a short swim. Dinner on the Saturday evening was really good. Was sad to see how quiet it was but the staff couldn't have been more attentive and made our stay in the diner a really good one. Both main dishes were outstanding and not much was left on our plates at the end ! Bit of a shame we couldn't have a pint or a glass of wine, but that's on the Scottish Government and not the hotel. If we thought dinner was good - it was - then breakfast was even better. The buffet style worked perfectly in the current conditions and there were two very empty plates by the time we were finished. Genuinely impossible to find a single fault with the hotel. All current guidelines being adhered to but without getting in the way of a relaxing stay. We are due to pick our puppy up in a couple of weeks time and - as long as we are still allowed to travel - we will definitely be staying at this hotel the night before. Big thanks from Dave and Joanne.…
We chose the hotel because of it’s useful location and good reviews. The hotel was perfect for us as we wanted a clean, friendly and reasonably priced base from where we could go and explore the Highlands. Very friendly and helpful staff, comfortable bed in a clean and practical room, COVID safety rules in place, located 10 minute walk from Inverness centre and easy to get in and out of town by car, free parking. In the evening, we were able to buy drinks at the bar and take them to our room as we didn’t fancy to sit in the gazebo outside. We explored Inverness one morning which is a charming old town and spent a very long time browsing in Leakey’s Bookshop, went on a day trip up to Tongue and then along the N500, went out West of town towards Beauly/Dingwall/Strathpeffer and then the Black Isle. All very scenic and memorable. Walking boots and waterproofs are recommended. As some reviewers mentioned, the decor of the hotel is a bit dated but it still had charm. Although we couldn’t bring our dog, I think it’s brilliant that the hotel offers the option.…
