Overall didn’t quite meet expectations Having been to Bunchrew for dinner a few times and found them excellent, decided to stay over for one night while travelling. A dark muddy car park reminded me a head torch in the car is invaluable! The room was spacious and well appointed with an excellent selection of teas and coffees all carefully packed to meet C-19 rules. Pity no one thought to put the radiators on though and the room being in the loft space was cold on entry. Dinner was not quite as expected, the veloute was excellent however the chicken main was bland and unappetising. Breakfast certainly made up for a disappointing dinner. The range on offer was excellent, and the service great - friendly and efficient Fortunately the hotel is very dog friendly, even with an individual welcome pack for our canine companion.

Very good find only a 10 minute drive from central Inverness. Clean, comfortable, well appointed small hotel with friendly staff. Genuinely dog friendly with no overbearing instructions re how to look after your dog. Dinner very tasty and despite covid stuff comfy . I didn’t order bar food as the cost was £5 as one had to have it in the bedroom. This and the slightly overpriced dinner means a 4 rather than a 5 from me. No alcohol except in the bedroom which was due to current rules.

Got recommended to try the Afternoon tea at Bunchrew house hotel. We are glad we did. Service was very efficient, covid procedures were in place and easy to follow. The selection of savoury and sweet products we recieved were of very high quality and also tasted very good. We got ample coffee and tea also :) . The location off the hotel is also very picturesque down by the beauly Firth with views over to North kessock and the Kessock bridge . Would recommend a visit :)

We had a lovely night away at Bunchrew. A cosy, comfortable hotel with the most beautiful outlook. The food was excellent and beautifully presented. Staff were really helpful. A special thanks to Glen who was front of house / bar man / waiter. He couldn’t do enough to help , such a pleasant manner. Glen you are an asset to Bunchrew!

The hotel is beautiful, lovely outlook, the breakfasts were varied , friendly professional staff and we could not fault them. In fact all the staff were lovely ,extremely friendly and helpful . In our first evening we decided to have a bar meal to gauge the standards . We ordered two burgers which didn’t include chips (chips £5 per portion) we sat down ordered our meal . When the soup arrived I then went looking for waiter to get spoons and napkins . The soup were very small portions which were gone in 10 spoons although tasty . I checked the menu again to discover we should have received rolls with soup . The waiter apologised then presented them. They were half the size of a golf ball . The burger steak/venison was tasty. The cost for both of us was £48 which would have been fine if the portions were bigger and service was good. This put us off having another dinner in the hotel . When booking beware of £15 charge per night for your dog. The room was a superior room which over looked the sea which was lovely . The bed was comfortable and duvet was warm. The bathroom small but clean. The room was a reasonable size but clearly had suffered a damp patch at some point which had dried but paper was loose on ceiling and wall looking unsightly . Pics included . I mention this because we paid a lot more for the superior room. I’m sure a bit of wall paper paste and paint would have sorted this so not a covid19 excuse.... Saying all this we enjoyed our stay although we ate out most of the time due to our experience and most of menu not to our taste . The management should be present and introduce themselves at some point and check the rooms themselves to improve attention to detail .
