We had previously stayed here in February 2019 and had a lovely experience, and when we returned this weekend, we weren’t disappointed. There had been, we think, refurbishments in the en-suite bathroom in our room as it was pristine. Yes some of the furniture is a little dated, but it is homely, plenty of tea and coffee supplies, decent smart TV, and bed was really comfy. There were also tasteful Christmas decorations throughout the B&B, which complemented the comforting homely feel. Plenty of hand sanitiser and use of masks which made us feel very safe. Breakfast was lovely, I love a traditional setting and our hosts were really friendly, (they were very accommodating in allowing us to order a pizza after our late arrival) a decent breakfast set us up well for our running courses and RNLI work. A comfortable B&B in a good location to walk in to the city or further out. Free parking onsite. A reasonable room with all you require. Breakfast is a good size with plenty of choice. The landlady is friendly and helpful with ideas of where to go.

It was a very comfortable and decent stay. The lady (staff) was very sweet. Made sure the rooms are clean and hygienic. She also gave good breakfast on time. Sanitizers available at every floor. Overall a good place

We stayed one night out of two, and if I knew what we were getting we would have cancelled straight away. I cannot get over the comments others have made claiming it was fantastic!! We managed to stay one night only because it would be too much trouble to get a stay later that evening. We first arrived, the door handle nearly came off in my hands. The owners daughter came to open the door and after a shove from me the door opened very hard to open. The young women didn't have a clue but found out later on it's her mother who took over the business from her mother. The room was terrible, windows mold plus in the bathroom. Carpets thread bare up some stairs.. we could go on but the pictures tell the rest. We left the next morning and had one night repaid. Not returning any time soon. I spent 2 days in this very comfortable and welcoming guest house. Warm, comfortable, clean and very quiet, delicious breakfast and private parking - what more could you ask for. This is a brilliant guest house and excellent vaklue for money, and only 10 minutes walk from the centre of the city.
