We have just moved on from this site where we spend 4 nights. When reading some reviews on here I was a little worried about the facilities on the site. I had no reason to worry as the facilities are nothing like some reviews have described. The site has two toilet blocks, one just toilets and the other toilets and showers. They are perfectly fine and very clean. They were perfect for what we needed. Yes, I have been on sites that have nicer toilet blocks with separate dressing compartments and hair dryers etc but these facilities are completely fit for purpose. I did not once have to wait to use a shower or toilet. Please don’t let the other reviews put you off! We were greeted by a very friendly lady who told us all about the site. It is very well sheltered by trees and although the pitch we were on lacked grass, it was a lovely spot. Behind the site is a fabulous dog walk through the woods which went on for miles. WiFi was free and although temperamental, was not the worse WiFi we have had camping before. There was a small shop on site. However, this is only open at limited periods of the day. A lovely site which we were sad to leave.

The facilities, as others have mentioned, are extremely sub parand the whole campsite is very poorly maintained. When we enquired about getting the toilets cleaned and for some tourist information we received a mouthful from the old glasweigan attendant there. I would advise anyone visiting to steer clear and that the actual locals are much friendlier.

Site is not up to C&C club standards. We were told when we got there toilet block was porta cabins due to leak in amenities block. When I actually saw the facilities building my first thought was that it should have been bulldozed years ago! I have since found out that this situation is not new and porta cabins have been there a while. To be fair to the wardens they keep the small facilities spotless and they were very friendly. Club needs to either urgently invest in the site or close it down. One last thing about the porta cabins that was a deal breaker for my wife, no hairdryers!

Good location bad facilities porta loos are a challenge for the larger type person, to use the toilet be prepared to stand on the thing to shut the door, I was told it was Temporary but to find that was 3 years ago, The gutters have not been cleaned and it is a shambles by all accounts the lease is about to expire and they have the nerve to charge money to stay there. Not me never again.

A wonderful place to stay with lovely dog walks in the woods. Staff cannot do enough for you they give a first class service. Portaloo toilets and showers which are clean and regularly checked. Definitely will come back to stay.
