I stayed here one night and only wish it could have been at least a few more. Deserves all the praise it gets. Beautiful decor, spacious clean rooms, great hostess and delicious breakfast. I believe this establishment is up for sale. What an opportunity for someone to purchase who fancied a move north to carry on this fabulous business.

The owner is very friendly and knowledgeable, and the room was beautifully clean and nicely appointed. Despite being the only couple staying, there was a full and complete range of hot and cold food for breakfast , limitless coffee and it was fabulous ! Our random trip to Scotland ended up with us staying in this great B&B and being...

One night stay on our driving tour. Host was very welcoming. The room was very nice with all the facilities you would expect. It's not far into Wick to get something to eat, 10 min walk. Breakfast was excellent as well. Cannot fault anything. I understand that new owners are taking over in December, I hope they maintain the same...

My wife and I spent two nights at the Clachan and absolutely loved our stay! Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, the breakfast was amazing (I'd highly recommend the smoked fish poached in milk), and Elspeth is one of the friendliest, most helpful hostesses I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. She provided restaurant suggestions, helped us find some...

The logo says it all..... if there is a better quality B&B in Scotland then I haven't found it. Over many years, travelling across the length and breadth of the UK, this location has consistently been at the top of my UK league table. On the main thoroughfare with quality rooms, comfortable beds, superb breakfast and a charming owner... what...

We only had one night at the Clachan but it was superb. The room was furnished to a high standard with everything you need for your stay. Elspeth the owner was a gem. She told us a bit about the history of Wick & recommended places to eat which she marked on a map for us. My husband mentioned that...

We arrived after an incredibly long and very wet day ... and we were greeted with "can I tumble dry your clothes?" Amazing... just what we needed. Room was big and with lovely tartan carpets. Breakfast was delicious and we were sent on our way with a little package of butter tablet - which was the best I've ever tasted!...

Elsbeth will give you a very warm welcome to her immaculate home. We had room 1 and it was super clean and very comfortable. Great WiFi speed. Elsbeth very helpful and can give you restaurant recommendations and info about places tonight. Will definitely return

I stayed there last night and it's easy to see why this B&B has been scooping up awards. Starting with a very friendly and informative welcome, to a top notch room and an amazing breakfast of Breakfast Cranachan, then home-made porridge followed by smoked haddock and poached egg, toast and coffee. Set me up perfectly for the day.

The hostess with the most helpfulness. Sent us to several recommendations but we choose the French. Made several very useful tourist suggestions. Great breakfast. Great set out. Great bathrooms. Great value for money. Would be back.
