I stayed for 3 nights in a single room with ensuite bath. The room was not large but definitely suited my needs as a single person. I have absolutely no complaint whatsoever about the room, it was very clean and the hot water in the bathroom was plentiful. In-room complimentary tea and coffee making facilities were provided along with biscuits,...

Spent a couple of nights here while on business in the area. The staff were friendly and helpful and had no issues with me checking out early. The restaurant is nicely designed and has a nice atmosphere, food was reasonably good although a tad expensive. My room, although clean and pleasant, was very small and at £200 for three nights...

Stayed one night on brief visit to Thurso. Excellent room, friendly service and best breakfast in town! We will be back. Would highly recommend to future visitors to this delightful town - but be sure to bring a warm coat.

We stayed at the annexe, across the road from the main hotel. It was perfect for our needs, and the staff couldn't do enough to help. Nice and clean, and it felt like we had our own flat, which was of huge benefit. The food is excellent, and although sometimes breakfast was a bit slow coming, it was always worth...

I stayed here a night in August, I had booked a triple room, as it was the only room available in the area. I had a pleasant stay. I had dinner in the hotel, which I very much enjoyed. I will try to book ahead in future if I return to the area

On arrival we had to wait 5 minutes at the bar before anyone approached us even though there were 3 staff members in the area who looked at us several times. Then we were told they were waiting on someone to come serve us. The woman arrived and told us they had no rooms available even though we had just...

While parking and unloading luggage at 8:30pm my epoxy surfboard was smashed by a hammer in tow places on the rails while on the roof of the car. A blue VW Golf with two males was parked several times and cruising the streets in front of the hotel and by the car within the hour I arrived. Police report was...

The Holborn is a good hotel in the center of Thurso with varied style of rooms to suit solo travelers to families. Excellent bar and restaurant with helpful and friendly staff. This hotel was fully booked when i returned to Thurso a week later but i still ate in the bar and restaurant.
