Nice staff, room a little tired but clean. Good sound cancelling windows. Breakfast was a little disappointing, slightly stale pastries and the apple juice was undrinkable. Boiled eggs would have been nice to go with the ham and cheese. Overall fine for what we were looking for and would consider staying here again.

I was through in Glasgow for a gig, and this was the cheapest hotel I could find. Free parking in the multi-storey car park, with a lift right up to the hotel reception. You're basically parked in an entertainment quay, with burger king, odeon, costa, a casino, and many other amenities on your doorstep. It's about a 25 minute walk to the SEC Armadillo arena, and all the other entertainment arenas in Glasgow. There's takeaway shops (Chinese, Indian, Greggs, etc) located about five minutes away. The room itself is pretty basic, but for the cheapest price in Glasgow you can't really complain. You have a TV bolted to the wall with a large selection of channels, a double bed which was surprisingly comfy and clean, 2 pillows, a very small toilet which was clean with plenty of toilet roll, a spacious shower which is outwith the rest of the bathroom, but the water was plentiful and hot. If you're in the shower it only has a frosted door to protect your modesty, and a hole in the door acts as the handle. Not so good if you're sharing the room with a friend or your children, but I was staying solo, so it never bothered me. The water also leaked through the door and soaked the area where you step out in to the bedroom, but it soon dried up, although it might represent a slip hazard for some! The view from my room looked on to an industrial estate and some motorways, but it was nice to observe the goings on outside. There's a climate control system, which claims to be able to regulate the room temperature, but I never used this so I can't comment on its effectiveness. Not very many sockets, but enough to get the job done. The one under the TV was a USB socket, so came in handy for charging. The lighting was fine, although there were several LED strips that were hanging off on various places around the room. No problem to me, but they could easily be ripped off the wall and then the person staying in the room could be charged for damages. There was no tea or coffee facilities in the room, but tea and coffee was free in a little area beside the reception, which would be a bit of a pain if you were on the upper floors and had to get a lift down to get it. I never had much interaction with the staff, but those I did talk to were polite and helpful. I wish they would take those damn masks off though. I've had enough of all this covid nonsense and want to see people smile and be happy, rather than them be inaudible while suffocating on horrid blue masks which are surely detrimental to their health! In summary, this is a decent place to stay on a budget. Just go in with a realistic approach for the price. It's cheap, it's clean, it's Glasgow. What more do you want? Thanks IBIS. 👍🏻

Free car parking - register car at reception. The rooms were a little odd…with shower opening up into room, no real bathroom…however it was fine for us. Room was clean enough and bed was comfortable. Breakfast was ok…a good selection…muffins a little dry. There is no coffee/tea in the room however it is available free in the reception area. There is also plenty of drinks and snacks that can be bought. A microwave is available to use in reception area. There are a couple of places to eat nearby however the city centre is an easy 20 minute walk. Would recommend as a budget place to stay.

This place is the pits. Overpriced rough hostel type experience in a dangerous area strewn with litter, dirt, graffiti and people openly taking drugs. Forget the online images of the entrance with tree etc and the bright rooms with pictures on the walls. It’s All Lies! If you really want the full scary experience, enter from the back through the car park. Your jaw will drop in horror. It’s totally horrendous. Litter strewn, graffiti mess, derelict nightmare. I was lucky to be with 2 large male colleagues but I would never let any woman travelling alone or in a group near this place. It’s not safe. Next door are residential centres for drug addicts and the walk into Glasgow is simply not safe. People openly taking drugs in the car park. When u make it to the Spartan front door they have rather amusingly embraced the graffiti theme by spraying entrance instructions on the wall. There are no plants etc as seen in their misleading ads The room is a cross between a prison cell and an outdated ferry cabin. If you like showering in a caravan style cubicle this is for you. If you enjoy claustrophobic experiences, this is for you. If you enjoy going to the loo in a cupboard, this is for you. If you like a grubby room with dirty floors, this is for you. If you enjoy straining your marriage to the extreme and crying in misery, this is for you! The checkin takes ages. Crisps etc are for sale for x4 the price despite Ibis claiming snacks are reasonably priced. And the breakfast is just a joke. Coffee is a spoonful out of a jar. Cross street woman asking randomly for room numbers. Horrible juice and nothing to eat but toast, cheap ham etc. No eggs I almost left my husband over this hell hole. I’m not that fussy and was aware that we had booked a cheap hotel, but so someone should make a documentary about this place. There were loads of larger ladies staying and for the life of me I wonder how people over a size 12 would fit in The shower cubical or the cupboard loo. Folks I paid a fortune to stay here! Husband booked it. I’ll never let him near booking.com again! Ok, I am old enough to suck it up but feel annoyed that my daughter could have been hoodwinked into staying in a dangerous dump like this. I met another solo traveller (female) at my business event and she was also staying here. She had a hole in the wall of her room right to outside. They refused to give her a refund. She was v upset. I’ll try and contact Ibis but will not hold out much hope of a response. Please please avoid at all costs.
