I have never stopped in a city centre Travelodge before as they are usually out of town but I am really glad we stayed at this one. The location could not be better, just a few minutes walk from Central Station, George Square etc. No hills either between the station & the hotel.

Stayed here a few times and we’ll definitely be back. Central location, basic rooms but clean and the staff are excellent. Very friendly and nothing is too much trouble for them. The cooked buffet breakfast option is excellent value for money.

Hotel is handy for Train Station, reasonably priced and the staff are all so friendly and helpful. All sites are easy to get to from here because it is so central. Buffet breakfast is well worth the money even though there are many places to eat round about. This was my 3rd

Reception staff excellent. Decent size room on sixth floor. Bathroom was adequate and extra towels were provided very quickly. Only complaint I had there was no drawer or shelf to put anything. OK for overnight stay but being there for four nights would have liked to unpack all

NCP car park, that is recommended by the hotel, it is about a 5 minute walk and you pay once you return to retrieve your car (keep your ticket safe to get back in to the car park) Ask the hotel staff before you return to your car about the car park, more specifically the discount card, there is a card that made my price of parking go from £22 to £8! However the only way I found out about this was asking how I pay my parking ticket and got given the card, I’d hate to think someone missed out on this from not asking the staff as it’s not advertised.

Are there laundry facilities near the hotel?
The nearest is Riggs Dry Cleaning and Laundry on Candleriggs - about five to ten minutes walk away. They do service washes - you hand in a bag of laundry and collect it hours later. It’s about ten pounds, I think. There’s a coin-operated one - Majestic - on Argyle Street but it’s about half an hour away on foot.
