A minute from the main motorway of the M8/M74 with direct access to Edinburgh, Glasgow, Stirling and Carlisle. Recently refurbished, the stunning bedrooms mix the modern with traditional. The Parkville bar is the heart of the Blantyre community, with an excellent selection of wine, beer and spirits available. Our restaurant has won awards for its hearty home-cooking and the Park Suite plays host to many a celebration and occasion, holding up to 250 guests.

I have never written a review and I am so glad this is the first one I am doing, to be honest I don’t really know were to start. My new husband and I booked our wedding a couple of years ago and from the minute we walked into the Parkville wedding fayre we just knew it was the venue for us!! We were welcomed with such happy cheery staff who made us feel so comfortable and looked after us from the minute we got in the door. We then met Graeme who is the happiest guy who clearly has a lot of passion for his job and his customer service is amazing nothing was to much for him any crazy ideas we had was welcomed with “I Love it” reply. Covid then came along and filled a lot of couples like myself with dread but again Graeme filled us with reassurance that our day would be amazing regardless and believe me it was. It came to our final meeting before the wedding and we got introduced to June who we were told was going to be in charge of our wedding and from the minute she said “Hi I’m June” I just knew instantly this wedding was going to be the day I had dreamed of and I couldn’t be more thankful for her she is absolutely amazing at her job her customer service is phenomenal again the passion for her job oozes out of her and I felt no stress leading up to our big day. Our day eventually came and from the minute the car pulled up to the venue June and all of her staff were on the ball my 3 year old was a little bit bored during the service and I remembered thinking why isn’t he kicking off and I glanced around the room and could see June on the floor playing with him with his bus, at that moment I felt nothing but gratitude and love for her doing that for us. Without going into to much detail there was a bump in the road that was nothing to do with the parkville or any of the services they provided it was out of everyone’s control what happened but June again who clearly has so much experience in what she does kept control of the whole situation and had our wedding back on track and all of the guests well taken care of. The food was absolutely gorgeous all of our guests kept coming over after each course telling us it was the best soup, steak pie and sticky toffee pudding they had ever had. If anyone is looking for a wedding venue I can not recommend this place enough I had so many guests come up to me at the end of the night and messages days afterwards commenting on June and all the staff on the day the are exceptional and i will be forever grateful for giving us the best day of our lives.…

Attended the Parkville for my brother’s wedding this weekend. Venue was fantastic. Service was faultless . Graeme and his team were brilliant the whole day. Can’t recommend the venue highly enough for anyone considering it for their wedding reception.

Spotless room, happy staff, but the jewel in the crown is the amazing restaurant prices. Eat before 7pm and pay only £7 each, for which we got an excellent fish and chips and a steak pie with the trimmings. Lively lounge bar with attentive staff and TV's in the "Public" bar only. Used to drink in here a long ago, it has changed out of all recognition, all for the better. Looking forward to a return visit in the spring.

Great all round hotel. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Food was excellent. Would definitely stay again. Rooms were lovely too. Nice hot fresh breakfast in the morning! Late check out is a good thing too.

Got a deal from Itison for this Hotel and was so glad as it was lovely, food great bedrom was fine and cocktails were Fabulous they have plenty going on at this Hotel Tribute acts etc Will go back again no bother

Accommodation was lovely and staff were helpful and friendly. One negative though! We had a cooked breakfasts and toast and butter. Instead of the toast and butter being served on side plates, it was on the same plate as the cooked breakfast and - would you believe it? - the butter was placed UNDER the hot cooked eggs! When I say butter, what I mean is that when it arrived it was completely liquid! Such a shame to be spoiling what was otherwise a lovely break. I suggest that the hotel invest in side plates. Apart from this, everything was lovely and it was an easy train ride into the centre of Glasgow.

Four of us went for dinner to celebrate my son’s 50th Birthday. The service was first class and the food was excellent. We opted for a main course. Three of us had steak pie and one had the sirloin steak. The steak pie was delicious and the steak was cooked to perfection. The deserts were divine, carrot cake - yummm, double choc fudge cake - lip smacking, chocolate brownie - the BEST and the sticky toffee pudding was off the scale. The Parkville has always been my favourite and it never lets me down. You have to book to ensure you get a table and it is excellent value. Check out their menu from breakfast to dinner, it’s all superb. Definitely worth recommending.

Really friendly staff, comfortable and clean room, excellent dinner and included breakfast - absolutely nothing to complain about - and fabulous value for money. We thought this was an area we'd be unlikely to return to, but after this experience it is highly likely we'll go back!

I stayed over while passing through the region. This hotel is very nice with great restaurant, bar area and rooms. I ate both my dinner and breakfast during my stay which were top class too !! You could immediately tell on arrival that this place was going to be a good choice as the whole place was bustling with a nice atmosphere. I would definately stay again, Thanks Parkville Hotel !!

We visited today for the first time and came with our 3 children. We were welcomed warmly by staff who had lots of time for the kids. Menu had lots of choice, food was great, didn't wait for long to be served but didn't feel rushed either. Must also mention that our toddler fell and two members of staff in particular were so kind to him, offering him a biscuit to cheer him up and the guy from the bar even brought him some mini marshmallows as a treat. It really put a personal touch on the visit and the staff really seem to care which is nice. Will definitely be back!
