Stayed for just 1 night while attending a concert before flying home. Very cool building. Lots of charm, Excellent sleep. Josh EXTREMELY helpful. Gave great rec for late lunch/early dinner. Had cab ready for us to go to the show. Easy to get to from the Motorway. Had to catch early flight so couldnt do breakfast but Josh gave us some pastries for the road. Very fair price. Would certainly stay again

On arrival, we were given the warmest of welcomes from a young man called Josh. He talked us through everything we needed to know about our stay and then personally showed us to our room. We stayed in room 12 which has a nice view overlooking the tennis courts. The room itself was very impressive, furnished with quality antique pieces in keeping with listed Victorian building. It had a modern touch too with the free standing bathtub and cleverly hidden toilet and shower. There were also tea and coffee making facilities, bathrobes, iron and ironing board and lots of other nice touches in the room. Breakfast the next morning was the best hotel breakfast ever. There was a menu with both cold and hot offers and all the produce was quality. I thought it was a particularly nice touch that the fruit juices were served in cute little carafe type bottles. Everything was cooked to order and to perfection. Well done all round Alamo.

We spent two nights at the Alamo Guesthouse and loved it! Great location right next to the park on a quiet street. The guesthouse is very beautiful inside and was a very comfortable stay. Walking distance to everything and the park is beautiful. Fabulous hosts and great made-to order breakfast. We would most definitely stay here again. Thanks Alamo Guesthouse for a great stay.

Wonderful guesthouse - quiet, lovely decor, comfy beds, good linens and attentive staff. Outstanding breakfast - made to order , plentiful and good coffee, many choices. Great location. Owner and staff guided us to best way to enjoy Glasgow and the need to book restaurants in advance. We were so glad we stayed here rather than city center. Lovely location close to park and university of Glasgow, Hop on/Hop off bus stop which is VERY good way to get around and super restaurants.

The innkeepers took great care to make this a beautiful place to stay. This is an old building and the details in painting the ceiling were remarkable. The rooms felt like you went back in time. The breakfast menu was great with many choices."
