Awful first impression from outside. Inside- very steep stairs, broken windows, room had dirty walls, marks where pictures had been, dirty shower curtain, though bathroom was clean. Only the main light worked in the actual room, the bedside lights didn't work. No mirror near hairdryer, no doors on wardrobe. The net curtain was filthy and the curtains were hanging off... More

Stayed here because of its proximity to Central Station, good price, and it's name! (I was in town to visit some of the Charles Rennie Mackintish sites). To be honest, it's not in the best location, and it's a bit of a dump, but perfectly acceptable - my room was clean, though being at the front of the hotel quite... More

We stayed in a triple room over a weekend, the hotel was quite busy but with little noise inside which was good, the room was basic but had all we needed for 3 lads on a weekend trip, breakfast was good enough and did the trick but half a black pudding ! what is all that about ?, wasn't so... The hotel is in an ideal location for exploring Glasgow. The rooms were basic but clean and the beds were comfortable enough. From the outside the entrance to the hotel looks pretty dodgy but once inside its fine. There isn't a lift though so be prepared to carry your suitcase up the stairs.

Having read some past reports I was a bit dubious as what to expect. On arrival I was pleasently surprised. Check in was fast. The room was clean and everything worked. The banter in the bar at night was good. The breakfast was only average. The location of the hotel is perfect for the Station (next door) For the price... More

This one was unbelievable! On opening the door the stench of body odour just about toppled us over. On entering, the curtains were filthy, fag burns all over the sheets and bedding! Breakfast? Ugh! Avoid at all costs! 10 days later, still traumatised.

The location is brilliant, and the room was really nice for the price, large and spacious. we only stayed for the one night, but it suited our needs which was a cheap room in the central. I will definitely be staying here again when i visit the city.

I stayed at the Ronnie Mackintosh Hotel one night on my way to Argyll. I chose it for its position and I was pleasantly surprised. My room was on the fourth floor and was facing Union Street, so a bit noisy. Nevertheless my stay was fine and the breakfast was very nice. The staff was very attentive and friendly. I... More

My husband and myself stayed at the rennie mackintosh hotel - central station, Glasgow.... NEVER AGAIN. We realised when we booked it was a budget hotel, but we're not prepared for what met us!!! We paid £59 for an attic room and on entering the room we were looking at a squalid room, there were holes in ceiling above one... More
