The facade of the hotel looked grotty and in desperate need of a makeover. We then had to climb three fairly short flights of stairs to reception, with our luggage which set the tone for our one night stay. Worse was to follow as we were given a room on the third floor and found out there was no lift...

This is a basic commercial hotel adjacent to Central Station. Reception is on first floor, bedrooms first to fourth, no lift. A few "nods" to Rennie Mac in public rooms. Bedroom small but adequate, toiletries coffee etc minimal for one, inadequate for two. Breakfast adequate provided you accept basic. I've rarely seen tinned fruit salad as an option! Small bar....

The location is a very convenient one, handy for Glasgow Central station and St Enoch station on the subway. The staff were friendly and the breakfast was good. So what was the problem? The room - it was tiny. It was offered as a double but would have been more appropriate as a single; putting a double bed (which could...

Booked this thru booking.com and had understood the terms and condition so it wasn't about that! My point it there was no common sense or compassion regarding my attempted reason to cancel. There was a tragedy in the family and my daughter was extremely up set. But this hotel did not care at all. So my review is rather short...

Dear Sir, Firstly thank you for your time to review without experiencing our services. You were trying to cancel the booking on the day of arrival without having valid reasons and did comment that you will put a negative comment on tripadvisor if we do not refund the money. You have also confirmed that you are travelling to Glasgow anyway...

Stayed at the Rennie Mackintosh for one night and was glad I had not booked longer. To be fair, the staff were friendly and helpful but that was the only good thing. Checked in and got a very basic room...small double bed with limited access and only one bedside table. Could not get TV to work. Went down to lounge...

Love the Mackintosh theme to this small hotel. Almost everything was on the theme and was pleasant. My room however (supposed to be a double) was stupidly small with a view of a brick wall. Apart from that everything was poorly maintained including the leaking shower and a weak door lock. Great location if you are catching a train the...

Very convenient for central railway station, the hotel is on a very busy road so traffic noise or people passing by can be heard into the early hours, otherwise the hotel is a good budget option, the hotel is clean, the staff are very friendly and helpful and the breakfast is worthy of the visit alone. We booked a large...

Perfectly located (just by Glasgow Central and shopping area, close to the bus stop to the airport). I visit Glasgow once or twice a year, and I stay at this hotel. I like comfortable beds, spacious rooms and decent breakfasts. The hotel is stylish but affordable. Tea, coffee and water are available in the room. What needs improvement is wifi-...

Conveniently centrally located hotel.Bedroom decently furnished with comfortable bed. Shower adequate. Best part of experience was breakfast in an airy mackintosh themed dining room Pleasant helpful staff.. Be aware, as the website mentions that there is no lift.Reasonably priced for an overnight bed and breakfast stay.
