Stayed in this hotel for 2 night, when we checked in and were preparing for showers we realised we had 1 towel to share between 3 of us. There was no air conditioning and the fan didn't work in the bathrooms, when we tried to open a window for some air, we saw the window looked into a brick wall. We also found a random pair of socks under the bed and there was blood on the sheet. On trying to contact customer services on many occasions and the replys have just been a standard ....and saying I hadn't provided enough infor.....obviously hoping I'll leave it. When we left and said to the receptionist about the air con and fan, she replied we should have came and asked for an engineer.....late on a Saturday night in Glasgow city centre.....not a very good reply to 3 females I wouldn't stay in this hotel again…
I just recently had a 4 night stay at the Premier Inn St Enoch Square. This particular hotel is very new having just opened in June 2021. I received a very warm welcome from Karolina the Receptionist who was on duty when I arrived. She was most helpful and was able to accommodate my hotel room request. I was delighted with the room I was given and everything was just spot on. The room including the bathroom were spotless. Usual tea and coffee available in the room which is super for those liking a cuppa first thing in the morning. With Covid restrictions having been relaxed somewhat I had the choice of having my room made over daily if I so wished the choice was mine. I opted to leave it. The shower over the bath was really super with good pressure and no shortage of hot water. The towels were lovely and soft. I certainly could not fault a thing with the accommodation. I have to say that Karolina on Reception always made time to have a chat if she did not have any guests to deal with. I have to say too that other members of the Reception team were also very friendly and took time to have a chat if they could. I dined at the onsite Steakhouse Bar + Block on two of the nights. I was looked after by Ana who was very attentive and on the ball. The menu was very good and I most certainly enjoyed my meal on both nights. I did not go in for breakfast so cannot comment on that. Overall an excellent stay at this Premier Inn, I most certainly will stay there again in the future and I most certainly can recommend it. It is so close to the main shopping area, other Restaurants and Bars as well as Central Station. Queen Street Station is only a short walk away as is the Buchanan Street Bus station.…
Great stay at Premier Inn Howard Street Glasgow. Very central right on St Enoch square. Clean comfortable and centrally placed for staying in the City. Reduced parking cost was great and very close to the hotel. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed at short notice.
Staff took my friends details who was helping me carry my bag to room instead of waiting for my boyfriends details and said he was still fine to come in. When we returned to the hotel after being out the staff would not allow my boyfriend entry and wanted me to be in a room myself. We also asked after if a girl who we are friends with could be in the room with us as she was on her own and had been spiked - a girl being left in Glasgow at 3am on a Sunday morning after a football game is extremely unsafe. The staff would not allow this. As I could not leave my boyfriend on the street himself until 9am we had to leave our friend in a room herself which again is unsafe. Overall this is absolutely disgusting, the fact two men wanted a girl to stay in a room herself was worrying and we had to sit on the streets until 9am for our first train home, which was also cancelled, this was absolutely horrific and I will be taking this complaint and experience to social media as this was extremely unprofessional from staff who could have helped accommodate our situation, we even offered to pay extra but the price kept changing and becoming more expensive. This was one of the scariest and worst experiences of our lives.…
Central location - less than 5 minutes walk from Glasgow Central Station, Argyle Street and Buchanan Street. Hotel is a year old. Air-conditioned rooms, With non opening windows. Typical Premier inn, flat screen TV, Tea coffee facilities. Over the bath shower. Disappointing that the bar was closed/ no breakfast facilities due to no hot water in the restaurant. - however went to wetherspoons instead. But would have been nice to be given prior notice. Staff very polite and friendly.
