Average hotel in a good location for shops and bars, the reception staff were very helpful and always ready to please, I would stay again, the reason I said average was we stayed in a large room overlooking the back of hotel and there was a building site behind us, we had noise from this all night long on both nights, because it was so hot we had to open windows we had a disturbed 2 nights with the noise from different working sources outside, I did tell hotel that they need to address this problem. The hotel is close to so many great shops and an excellent place for a stop off. I would stay again. Thank you to staff in these unpredictable COVID conditions..
Excellent five star service from Rachel on reception. She arranged my room to be changed as I requested a view of the beautiful George Square, really great service. Also she signed me up to the loyalty programme which demonstrates her commitment to the future income generation and return business for the company.
Called in several times during a weekend in Glasgow and enjoyed some drinks and watched everyone go by from our vantage point outside the hotel with outdoor seating. A perfect place to meet up with friends, very friendly service, especially Donna who was always smiling and attentive.
Room overlooked the square - hotel a bit tired - but great value for money - bed and bedding luxury- so comfy - large room - very clean - bath and luxury towels - can’t recommend enough for value for money - will deffo be back - staff so welcoming too x
I travelled with my friend who was attending for her first consultation for cancer treatment. I was going to book online but rang to ensure that we could have a twin room. Dean could not have been more helpful or pleasant and gave us a very good room rate. We ordered burgers from El Perro Negro via Deliveroo and they were probably the best burgers we’ve ever eaten despite arriving just lukewarm. Room 216 is at the front overlooking the square. I needed another pillow and went down to reception to collect it and had a nice socially distanced chat with Dean and two other ladies on duty. The room was large, as was the bathroom. As mentioned in a previous review, the room was a little “tired”, but so were we and we slept well. On checking out we were allowed to leave our suitcases behind whilst we went for a walk and collected them later, when we met another member of staff who is also a credit to the hotel. We gave him a couple of packs of biscuits as a totally inadequate thank you for the staff to have on their break. We appreciated their kindness and will certainly return due to them all being excellent ambassadors for the hotel. …
