Myself and nine friends went to Glasgow on a hen weekend we had various rooms triple, double and single, rooms were all clean and neat. Check in was quick and breakfast was good. Right in the middle of everything. Good time was had by all!!!

The guest house is a short walk from the city centre, the woman that checked me in didn't make eye contact and actually had a conversation over my shoulder with some other guest that were waiting to check in, however once she'd seen me a few times popping in and out she was fine, the place was lovely and warm...

Showed to our room which was very cosy and spotless clean all the furnishings in the room all matched and complimented curtains bedding etc . Tea and coffee facilities were of plenty . I feel welcome every time I sign in, which, is fairly often, given my home is on one of the western Scottish Isles. Whether for rest and recuperation or business, McLays has never disappointed. My recent stay was enhanced by the completion of another impressive renovation and redecoration project. I was upgraded without asking because I am a frequent guest....

For the price it was a good deal. Staff were friendly and helpful. Full scottish cooked breakfast was very good. There is no lift, that could be a problem for older people. It was no problem for us. We would definatley visit McLays on a return trip.

I stayed here as accommodation for a concert I was seeing at the Hydro, but the staff were still warm and welcoming when we arrived late at night. There were 3 of us staying so we got 2 double beds and the room price worked out very cheaply. The room itself was very big and comfortable. I have stayed in...

Stayed here in the mid 90s and was disappointed on how shabby it was. Carpets were worn and bedding was old as were the mattresses. I see from current reviews that it hasn't improved any. My wife says never again! Lots of noise and rough dining area.

Warmly welcomed by staff, reception is smart and clean. Thats were it ends. Turning the corner to go to our room we were greeted by very run down decor and stained carpets, nohing like how it looked on the photos. Our room itself is in dire need of a makeover. Old and worn duvet covers, badly fitting sheets and a...

The room badly needs updated, and looks nothing like the pictures. There were several things we felt could have been done a lot better. The first was the way breakfast was run, we walked into an empty room and took a seat. We were eventually greeted by a waiter and asked if we would like breakfast which we said yes...
