We went to Redstones today with our daughter for an unplanned Sunday lunch. It has been relaunched as Il Capo Italian. We were impressed - the food was very good. We had a pizza and a chicken burger - both were very tasty! Would recommend and better than meals I've had here in the past.

Visited here with hubby and friends. We took the train and when we walked along the road to get here it really wasn't obvious how to get in to the restaurant! So up a side road and in a dark entrance! However once in the service was good. Hadn't quite realized it was an Italian restaurant as my husband booked...

My husband and I had late lunch here today. Waitress was learning how to open a bottle of wine. My husband was waiting for it to pour over him. Starter ordered but asked to replace garlic bread and salad with chips. Then was charged extra for them. Main course of lasagne was inedible as far too salty. Waitress never even...

The most disappointing thing this time was not one member of staff said it had changed menu to an "italian" based. It was Sunday so we routinely ordered steak pie. It arrived with an Italian bread crust and beef not in a...

I have used this Hotel & its Restaurant for over 30 years and it has had a chequered past, particularly the food! About a year ago, the HARTY Group took it over, refurbished and redecorated and the results are pleasing - a warm ,welcoming Hotel with an excellent Restaurant. More recently,Lynn & her core staff from the Grapevine were brought in to...

Used to be a favourite place of ours until it went downhill badly. However saw some good reviews lately and booked for our daughters birthday. On booking was told it was now Il Capo an Italian menu. It was very quiet on Sunday but we had a nice booth in bar and had a nice family meal. Staff were all...
