two night stay with friends. great central location next to Queen St station and five minute walk from central. Great rooms very spacious. good selection in complimentary mini bar. Complimentary teas and coffees and alcohol after 5 was an added bonus. Great breakfast to cap it off. As Arnie would say 'I'll be back.

Met by a disinterested receptionist in a scruffy foyer with left luggage all over the place. Not warned that decoration was ongoing on our floor. Room was clean and tidy. Breakfast was poor, tasteless and lukewarm. So disappointed as we had stayed there in better times, it would seem!

Dear 370Keithl, Thank you for your review, I note that you stayed with us some 6 months ago, when we were having our corridors refurbished- this work is now complete, I'm sure you will love the new look. The comments we receive regarding the team here, particularly those on reception, are normally very positive. I do hope you will consider...

Took an elderly relative for afternoon tea at the Windows .Great views over Glasgow, but the "afternoon tea" was possibly the worst I have ever had. Dry, tasteless sandwiches, and even drier verging on stale cakes. Even at £10 it is not to be recommended.

My husband and I stayed at the Carlton George for one night in April. The hotel was booked by phone and confirmed by email. It was very helpful to be told on booking that the hotel had an arrangement with the local multi storey car park to allow guests to park at a reduced rate. The hotel does not have...

I liked everything about this hotel, I was on a shopping trip with my elderly mother and found the location prefect. Our bedroom was very comfortable and quiet. Mini bar was replenished every morning at no extra cost and room service was free of charge. The food was of a high standard and was very reasonable. All the staff were...

Liked everything about the Carlton George. Staff were excellent. Phoned them before my stay and they accommodated my request. Had a very comfortable stay. The location is perfect........on this occasion we needed to be close to Queen Street station, but most visits to Glasgow includes shopping. I will definitely book this hotel the next time I visit Glasgow for a...

I spent a lovely weekend in Glasgow last November with a group of six women and we stayed at the wonderful Carlton George Hotel. We liked everything about the hotel! The rooms were nice and clean, the breakfast was very good, the location is perfect, but the best part was the staff. Everyone of staff we talked to was nice,...

What a great Hotel. I booked an overnight stay at this Hotel as a treat for my husband's birthday. We were initially allocated a room at the back of the Hotel which was very warm and had no view. Breakfast is served in Windows in the morning, or can be delivered to your room. Guests can enjoy complimentary soft drinks, snacks and coffee throughout the day, and complimentary wine, beer and selected spirits each evening in the Executive Lounge located on the 7th floor. The lounge also features the Thomson Boardroom, ideal for meetings or private dining for up to 14 people.
