I was really disappointed with the cleanliness of the hotel. The bathroom floor had someone else's long hair on it. The main room had someone's dental floss on the floor. We put the sign out to make up the room and they never came to clean. They came at 6pm and poorly cleaned the room with those things still on the floor. They didn't refill the tissues. A pretty shotty cleaning operation. We ate in tge bar area. The food was average and they over charged us for the items we ordered. They had different prices on the menu vs. what the computer charged. The front desk was not very friendly. The buffet breakfast was a standard one with the exception that they will make you a custom omelet. The location is not great...it is a long walk to any of the sites so you have to take an Uber. I will say the beds are big and comfortable.…
I attended the Hilton Glasgow (William Street) with my Husband today (16/9/21) to use the leisure facilities & have afternoon tea. I honestly don’t have enough words to describe the incredible experience we had today. On arrival the lady on reception was so welcoming & very informative. Leisure department again welcoming & helpful. Leisure facilities excellent & felt very relaxed. On to afternoon tea. Myself & my Husband are Vegan - Best Afternoon tea we have ever had! The food & choice of teas were exceptional. The staff in the tea lounge couldn’t do enough, friendly, very attentive & took an interest in us as people & made great tea recommendations. Today was just a lovely lift of spirits after Covid restrictions. Myself & my Husband can’t wait to come back for another visit & have already recommended this hotel to our friends & family. Thank you Glasgow William Street for a lovely day. Blown away with the service, food & care shown by staff. It was very much appreciated more than you know. See you again in the near future.…
On arrival, check in was quiet , 4 staff and still had to wait, was greeted by a lovely young girl , who had no clue what to do as she explained and apologised it was her first day . It took a while for a staff member to come and assist her. This staff member was less than helpful and mumbled . As a Diamond member , no thank you or welcome , had to ask what time executive lounge opened to a reply we received as it was closed and moved , but no information to where , or where or what time breakfast was. The room was nice , nice big bed ,but the shower floor had rust marks near the drainage . Met friends in the bar for snacks and drinks , the barman was very friendly , but seemed very short staffed . snacks were delicious . On leaving the on site car park , we were stuck behind the barrier , there was no explanation on how the barrier worked , so had to run over to reception and ask them to open it . Will return as nice hotel , just staffing issues seem to be a concern .…
Stayed for two nights to attend a conference at the hotel over the weekend. Quick and easy check in, reception team very helpful. Had an amazing weekend, could not fault any of the facilities. Received excellent customer service by all the hotel team. Highly recommend and will definitely return and stay when back in Glasgow.
Afternoon Tea was fantastic. Great food and the service from Miguel and Hiba was superb We were welcomed warmly from the start, the tea both hot and iced was so tasty. The food excellent and plenty of it. We even had to take some small cakes home.
