My wife and I took an aunt to the Pond Hotel for afternoon tea (with Prosecco) on a Sunday afternoon. The afternoon tea consisted figure sandwiches, scones with jam and cream and a selection of mini cakes. The tea and coffee pots were "topped up" by the friendly staff and the atmosphere was good. Staff were friendly and did not...

I spent New Year's Eve at the Pond Hotel - a 4 course meal, party night and overnight stay. The food was absolutely delicious - fresh and beautifully presented. The staff were fantastic - helpful, polite and charming. Finally, the room was comfortable, modern and spotless. A delicious, hot breakfast was served the next morning and this was the perfect...

this is better than staying at the beatson if you are a relative of a patient. Not cheap though but rooms are clean, lots of hot water, TV and tea making facilities. Beds are comfy. Shame about the road being so near but nothing you can do about that. Receptionist was helpful

Booked last minute on booking.com - room was extremely hot on arrival so switched hearing off completely and opened window before going out for dinner. Still very hot so tried sleeping on top of covers. Worse than this was the noise from below, which I understand (from previous negative reviews) to be the kitchen extractor fans. It honestly sounds like...

Reception staff really lovely and friendly ..room really nice was a bit concerned about being next to the lift but it was quiet. Breakfast was really good and plenty of choice. Would recommend this hotel to others but it is quite a bit from the city centre if you want something central.
