Decent hotel located near the Great Western Road. Good sized room with comfortable bed and good bed linen. Small but well equipped bathroom. Nice welcome by front desk staff. I would stay there again. Only wee concern I had was the small pedestrian lane leading out to main road it was unlit and I felt quite vulnerable - could be...

I stayed for one night with friends, hotel is in a good location, it is clean and tidy and has a nice little hotel bar. Easy to get to the city centre - 5 mins in cab or 10 mins on the train that is 5 mins walk from the hotel.

The setting of the Pond hotel is most unprepossessing - the pedestrian access is down a narrow dark alley, and the state of the front entrance and car park is decidedly scruffy. However, the staff are pleasant, and breakfast is fine although the musack is irritating, and that put us off booking the restaurant in the evening. Bedrooms are sufficiently...

Stay was ok. Beds and pillows are very comfortable. There was a weird smell in the room when we arrived, we opened the window for the rest of the day which did not help. Turns out the shower curtain stank of pish, so unfortunately the whole room stank of pish.

My wife and I took an aunt to the Pond Hotel for afternoon tea (with Prosecco) on a Sunday afternoon. The afternoon tea consisted figure sandwiches, scones with jam and cream and a selection of mini cakes. The tea and coffee pots were "topped up" by the friendly staff and the atmosphere was good. Staff were friendly and did not...
