Hotel is in a great location, although it does not have it's own car park, it is within close proximity and is secure. We had an early start (4am) as we had a flight to catch. When we explained at checkin that we would not be at breakfast they kindly suggested the night manager to set up for us. This allowed us to grab a coffee and a freshly made croissant before our travels, which was greatly appreciated! Would definitely stay here again!
Had a very nice stay here. Pretty centrally located near the river Clyde, and the hop-on hop-off bus stops outside. Room was pretty cleaned and very comfy. Breakfast was also tasty in the morning. Staff were very friendly too at check in and breakfast
We stayed here two nights whilst visiting Glasgow. The hotel is a 15minute walk along the river from Central Station. It was again an easy walk up into the Merchant Area of the city with its attractions. There are bus routes close by. Easy check in with friendly helpful staff. Our twin room was well appointed. Only room for one chair but that doesn't matter for a couple of nights. We had a view over the river and being four floors up there was no traffic noise. Breakfast buffet was basic but sufficient. An ideal hotel for a few nights exploring Glasgow.
Spent an overnight here whilst attending theatre, what a lovely experience, very friendly staff and nice room, shower was terrific, the little bar is chilled for a nice quiet drink, really above expectations.
We stayed here for 4 nights and were very impressed with the hotel. It is very central to the city. The room was very nice and clean with a good shower. The breakfast was good and staff very helpful. Recommended.
After a disaster the night before at a full service IHG. We checked out a day early and fled here. Can’t say enough about how friendly the staff are. How clean the place is. How good the rooms are. Sometimes the express brand gets left behind by the big guns but it’s easy to forget that this brand seems more focused on customer care. This will be our go to hotel for all future Glasgow visits. Special Mention to the lady who was on duty when we checked in and Anthony and his pal who seemed to be on duty all the time.
the way we got treated and spoken to was absolutely dreadful by the minute we got there from the 2 man and woman on reception and made our whole experience at this hotel horrendous and we definitely will not be back, the 2 people on reception were nothing but rude to us! Also in the rooms, there were stains on the sheets and wasn’t very clean! Have photographs as proof I definitely don’t recommend this hotel to anyone else and will be making sure people know this is how you treat people! If your looking to stay in Glasgow with your friends this is definitely not the hotel to go to! Could not get over how shocking the customer service was! Only interested in taking peoples money and nothing else !
me and my friends went to this hotel all in the age bracket of 20+ so staff judged us from the off set! very struts about masks but didn’t provide any for customers, went to breakfast and forgot ours so they sent us back to the room, staff very just very rude and judgmental! the bed sheets were dirty, will not be back to this hotel
This was our second stay here, having last been just a few months before the start of the pandemic. We arrived about an hour early due to our bus/train connections, but were delighted to be told our room was ready and we were quickly up onto the 5th floor. Had a quick look from the scary glass balcony at the end of the corridor - don't look down !! The room itself was just perfect for us and clean and not worn. The breakfast buffet is the favourite part of the HIE experience as we do not like too much to eat, but a good choice of decent quality food was available to suit us. All the staff were great and although we were worried about the breakfast room being too crowded, it was not bad, and well organised anyway. It seemed to us that great effort was being put into getting tables cleared and cleaned thouroughlly as soon as guests left them. We have only one slight grouse, however, as because my wife is an IHG Member we have been used to getting a complementary drink for us both, not just the registered member. We had had such very recently in both Edinburgh and Liverpool. The reason was very reasonably explained to us but we were still a bit disappointed. Anyway, it seemed to us the hotel was being run very well, especially as we understand it was actually full.…
Happily given an early check-in which really helped our plans. Friendly check in and check out. Room was a typical HIE with a huge comfortable Super King. Room was at back of hotel and we had no noise disturbance internally or externally. No complaints. Breakfast was the usual HIE included offer. As Scotland is still in the grip of Covid was a bit surprised that every bit of breakfast was shared and unwrapped. Parking is discounted at the NCP King Street (just under £12 for 24 hours) though have to admit was not comfortable leaving my car there in what was a big open car park that resembled waste land in not the best part of the City.
