Stayed at the hotel on Saturday night in one of their club rooms. This was our second stay there this year. The room itself was very luxurious with top of the range fixtures and fittings including a nespresso machine for excellent coffee as well as fine selection of teas and a kettle to boil the water. There was a well-stocked minibar...

We topped off our recent visit to Scotland by spending 2 days in Glasgow. It was a great decision. We had stayed in 3-4* places in Edinburgh, Skye, Culloden, Islay, and Stonebridge Castle, and this hotel was superb--though not center city. 5 large Victorian townhouses were redesigned into a small, lovely hotel. Macallan 12 was offered on arrival and the...

This was the family wedding of the century thanks to all at the Hotel du Vin. The staff were fantastic during the build-up to the wedding and simply fantastic on the day. Nothing was too much trouble for this hotel. We had 70 during the day and 120 at night and it all ran like clockwork from the reception until...

I stayed at HdV for 4 nights whilst in Glasgow on business. There are more centrally located hotels in Glasgow but none that I am aware of with as much as charm. The converted Victorian terraces feel like one grand rambling home. The lead light windows, panelled timber walls, ornate staircases, and period furniture create a wonderful ambience. The doorman...

The one thing that sticks out is just how dark the room was. Not just the furnishings, but the lighting. During the day, if the sun is out, you get adequate light, but at night, with every light on (including the ones on the paintings), we had to use a flashlight to get around and read. Two lamps seemed to...

Spent Sunday afternoon having brunch in this beautiful townhouse hotel. Started with a cocktail in the bar - where we soaked up the warm and indulgent atmosphere, then were shown to a fab table in a bay window where we could watch goings-on along Great Western Road. Brunch is four courses, starting with soup, which was lovely. Next, a visit...

We stayed here a couple of weeks ago and it was a lovely experience. Room was comfortable with all you would expect, service great, location perfectly in the heart of Glasgow's trendy West End (a much nicer location than the city centre in my opinion and still a ten quid/15min black cab away from city centre if required. The food...
