Just a one night stay at this hotel and we were the only people staying as Glasgow had just come out of level 3. Perfect location, minutes from the city centre and central train station. Looks a little old fashioned and the rooms are very dark but the beds are comfortable and the bathroom was plenty big enough for us. Large mirrors and plenty of plug sockets plus glasses and large towels made for a comfortable night. Breakfast is served in the bar area and what a choice there was, fresh fruit and juice, cereal, breads and a full English breakfast plus hot tea or coffee! Parking is in a nearby NCP car park and the hotel have discount cards which make parking for 24 hours only £6.50 instead of £22. I would not hesitate to stay again and we are already planning a return trip later this year.…
Visited with friends for a special birthday . Staff couldn’t have been more helpful, food abs amazing and just such a nice atmosphere. Thankyou to the fabulous waitress Mary or Marie who just went beyond her job role and looked after our party all night. Kitchen staff also do nice and friendly and appreciated our feedback. Would certainly return
We had a fantastic experience at Rab Ha's. We arrived earlier than anticipated and the staff, who were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay, upgraded our room. The location is perfect if you want to walk around the Glasgow city center. The pub downstairs has great food and drink selections. The staff were more than willing to put football on the TV as well. Very conveniently, we couldn't hear the pub from our room, which was nicely furnished. We couldn't have been happier with our stay.
Friendly welcome upon arrival at Rab Ha’s. Escorted to the room and offered an upgrade (4 rooms in total, only one was a twins). Sadly the twin room is rather tired, a very small room with a small window overlooking brick walls and I felt it rather neglected. The only positive thing, it was quiet bearing in mind the pub/hotel is on a Main Street. The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable, the pillow was so good that I have ordered one for my home. Ross who looked after us at breakfast time, was great, always cheerful and went out of his way to ensure that I had oat milk for breakfast. The breakfast (continental) was included which included croissants, bread, cereal and lovely fresh fruits of the forest which went down a treat. Tried the cooked breakfast once which was tasty but it would have been nice to have been asked how you would like the eggs cooked. Had dinner at Rab Ha’s on the Sunday before New Year and it was busy, so much so that it wasn’t comfortable to eat in the very small corner of the bar. I guess as it was the holiday period, it was bound to be busy and on that day there was a local derby match which brought in more customers. The food, however, was good and the staff really friendly. All in all, I enjoyed the stay at the Rab Ha’s as the staff made it so pleasurable. The twin room (room 2) could, however, do with a bit of a refurbish as it was quite an expensive stay.…
Recently stayed at local big chain hotel but wanted to take more sustainable option. Rab Ha's is a friendly small hotel that has a homely feel. The rooms are cosy (although a little battered hence the 4*). Staff are very friendly. Breakfast is served in lovely bar and is fresh continental - just right. Great location in the centre of Glasgow, easy access to pubs, restaurants, shops and other facilities.
Has an excellent pub. Good beer, friendly staff and a nice fire in the corner for those cold nights. Great for a pint and a chat with mates as there is no crappy music and its not loud. Definitely recommend it your our for a few quite pints with mates!
Outstanding stay at this fabulous place. From the moment we arrived we were welcolmed by Ross who catered for our every need ...Rooms food and bar all excellent...would highly reccomend Rab Ha s and Glasgow for a week end away....we hope to be back soon...Well done to all at Rab Ha s
First, the warning: your room is directly above a popular bar on a popular street of popular bars and clubs in a busy city, so be aware there will be noise. Once past that and this place is absolutely worth it. Room was very clean and more spacious than other places we had stayed, and most notable of all was how incredibly gracious and hospitable the owner was. He really went out of his way over and over to make our stay there one of the highlights of our honeymoon. The food in the restaurant was excellent and the number of locals at the bar tells you a lot about the quality and authenticity of Scotland you're experiencing. We would absolute stay here again if in Glasgow.
We can’t say enough good things about Rab Ha’s. The pictures on the website regarding the rooms, the pub, and the food are honest representations. We arrived rather early so our room was not quite ready. Instead of asking us to wait (we were early remember), they booked us into an even nicer room that was already cleaned. The weather was drizzling so the gas fire in the pub was most welcome. The pub itself is as charming and comfortable as the rooms. This was the first pub we had seen with fresh flowers on the tables and mantle. If you want to eat, reserve a table as the pub gets very busy in the evening. Not surprising considering how delicious and plentiful the food is. The staff, from top down, is cheerful, friendly, and professional. The T-shirts that some wear stating “Average Staff” are a case of Scottish understatement. There is nothing average about Rab Ha’s!…
This place was fantastic. Small hotel sitting above a great restaurant/pub. The staff — particularly the manager — could not have been more helpful. The location is perfect. Right near George Square and easy walk to Central Station. I’ve been to Glasgow many times and can’t believe I never stayed here before. From now on, this is my go to hotel in Glasgow
