A trip to the Hydro and an over night stay at this fantastic hotel which is very clean, rooms are large, brill shower and a filling breakfast which was served by friendly staff. Would recommend this hotel to anyone.

We arrived on the 16th or March 2013 (yesterday). After looking at the excellent reviews and looking online my partner and I were excited for our short over night stay! Upon arrival the woman who served us was friendly. She was knowledgable about the hotel and told us what we had to know regarding the hotel. We were in room...

In response to this rather lengthy review, we would like to take the points in order, firstly the remarks regarding the lemon smell in the room, yes we do use air freshener and we do like our rooms to be fresh smelling when guest's arrive, however if you have a problem with strong smells etc then a quick call to...

Superb location, 5 minute walk into Glasgow. The rooms were small but very well accommodated from hair straighteners / hair dryer to complimentary biscuits. Plenty of hot water and clean environment. Didn't opt for breakfast (£8 each) and popped to town. I would have gave the place five stars but the website stated reduced parking and a 12:00hrs check-in. Neggers...

The location very good: walking distance to city centre. The hotel looks really nice and modern: nice design, fancy shower. But the shower was not very good, wasn't getting very hot. Breakfast was 'ok', not very good quality of the food. I must the say we had a good price.

Nice enough hotel, little details let it down, moths/flys in the ceiling lampshade, leaky shower, light bulbs not working, bathroom sink not cleaned each day and guilty of one of my pet hates Pre-authorising your credit card and then putting through a new sale leaving your cc balance down for a week until it gets reversed, which could potentially leave...

The Acorn hotel has everything you would need for a short break in Glasgow. Spotlessly clean very good breakfast friendly staff and in a good location and at a reasonable price. Would highly recommend. While staying there you couldn't go far wrong than visit Scramouche next door. Delicious food and the best staff so helpful and suggested many places for...

Short walk from centre of town, friendly and efficient welcome. Comfortable, spacious rooms, modern, tastefully decorated. And spotless. Tasty breakfast. You would have to look hard for better value for money. Looking forward to my next visit already.

Attractive room modern decor. Staff good enough. Didn't have breakfast so can't comment. However second morning of trip no hot water in room, apparently too many people were having a shower, pretty poor effort really

This is a well situated, comfortable hotel which I would recommend for a stay in Glasgow. The staff were very helpful and breakfast was good. The only difficulty was finding the hotel by car through the one way system.
