Just spent the weekend at Greyfriar's hotel,St.Andrew's,Scotland. We booked late for personal reasons, but we had a lovely time. The owners and their staff are really welcoming, warm, service is always with a smile. The room(214) was adequate in size, spotlessly clean, smelt fresh, had air-conditioning,a full-sized bath and a walk-in shower, plenty of clean towels, free Wi-Fi,quiet and sound-proof--on the 2nd floor. The breakfast was good.Good cappuccino and a good...

Just back from an overnight stay at Greyfriars Hotel. It is a great location although parking a bit difficult. Very warm welcome on arrival, clean comfortable room. Lovely breakfast! With a check out of 11am we did some shopping after we left but decided to go back again for lunch before we drove home. Great value for money and fantastic...

Very simply, excellent food, staff, and cannot thank the management enough. Very accommodating for my disabled father who is predominately wheelchair bound. I stayed there two days with family members for a wedding, it was great. Parking was slightly difficult but great central location. The breakfast was one of the best I have ever had...!! Will definitely be back. Facilities...

Travelled for eight hours by car before arriving, check in was quick and painless, took five mins and we were in the room unpacking. Comfortable and clean large bedroom and bathroom. Only negatives with the room was that the tv was small and difficult to operate, the tea making facilities had no plug socket near them. Had a meal in...

Room was a good size with good facilities and very clean Very friendly staff on hand who made us feel very welcome. Only ate in the hotel for breakfast which was one of the best cooked breakfasts I have enjoyed, special mention...

The Greyfriars exceeded our expectations as from the outside the place suggests nothing very much. Our bedroom was very comfortable on the third floor with even a sneaky view of the of course and R&A club house. Large bed, a sofa and large flat screen tv, decent shower provided at great value along with delicious Scottish cooked breakfast (give scrambled...

We had a pleasant stay, sadly marred by a few disappointments. The room was fantastic - spacious, modern, warm, new bathroom with separate shower, etc. The staff at front desk and bar were helpful and welcoming. However we had planned to eat in the hotel, but when we arrived downstairs at 7.30pm the kitchen had already closed! The next morning...

popped in for lunch and have to say well done. The pulled pork sandwich and chunky chips with a drink for £7 was perfect value, served with a smile and very quickly. Clean premises and sky to on the few tellies dotted around. Good place

This was a last minute stay over in the lovely town of St Andrews - thanks to all the staff - we had a great stay. A great menu with lots of choice, breakfast was wonderful - well done!! Room comfortable and only criticism would be the creaky floor boards !! Also great choice of ales and beers!!
