Am a frequent visitor to Scotland for golf trips, and always stay at the Greyfriars. Perfectly placed , with large ample rooms, a great bar and restaurant downstairs, easy parking, which is a rarity in St Andrews....this place has it all. Everything is just so easy to deal with here....from the booking process, to nightly drinks in the bar, to...

I stayed here recently on a business trip and found the welcome was very warm and friendly. The hotel is centrally situated, just round the corner from both the shops and the golf courses. The cinema is almost next door. Parking is awkward during the day but more than ample after the restrictions are lifted in the evening. My room...

My husband and I had occasion to visit St. Andrews, for his 60th Birthday present, a round of golf at the Old Course! We booked 3 nights accommodation at the Greyfriars Hotel. The hotel is situated in the middle of the town. First impressions were that it was a very busy drinking establishment full of students and we were worried...

The staff were all very friendly and welcoming, although the restaurant was almost full to capacity, The menu was varied and we managed to please all four in our party. The food was well presented and tasty, and prices were reasonable.

Having stayed in this hotel before, our group were looking forward to the warm welcome we had on our previous stays. Unfortunately the attitude of most of the staff now is to not bother with customer service. Their natural attitude seems to be that the guest is either a nuisance or an argument waiting to happen. Other than a very...

We stayed in the family suite, it was perfect for our two kids (two twin beds) and ourselves (queen bed). The bathroom was a good size and we loved being in the center of everything. The location is good if you want to see all of St. Andrews, it's almost right in the middle of town, close to the Castle...

Great hotel, very good location. Rooms were spacious and very clean. Breakfast was great, can't fault the staff serving in the morning. Didn't spend much time in the bar but it looked decent enough. The only reason it didn't get 5 stars from me was that no one, other than the breakfast staff said hello or had a conversation with...

You check-in at the bar as soon as you walk into the establishment (which might mean waiting for them to finish with a pub customer). Very friendly. Room 103 was standard. My daughter commented that it looked like a dorm room. Nothing fancy, but very spacious. No view to speak of out of our room and, unfortunately, seemed to be...
