We booked a room at Lorimer House to visit St. Andrews and sadly experienced a pretentious and not welcoming attitude of the host. Fortunatly, we could get another place with far better experience and a warm reception. You still want to feel as a guest and not merely as a paying customer.

Well in all my years I have never been called pretentious so I thank you for that. I have checked the records and cannot find any correspondence from a Kristin D. So my staff and myself are very pleased that you did not stay at Lorimer House with the hundreds of great visitors we have every year.

The hotel had excellent facilities, great location and beautiful rooms. We were welcomed by Mick and Chris, who were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious and catered for every taste. I would definitely recommended this hotel!

A group of us stayed at Lorimer for the first time. Excellent rooms and great breakfast. Well looked after by the owners. Great location near the town centre and only short walk to the golf courses. We will come back again

When your travelling you expect some kind off sterile/impersonal treatment in the services that you require.Michael and Christine really don't go with that expectations and make you feel like a true guest in their home.It was a very positive experience and I wouldn't have any reservations in recommend it and I will surely comeback.

Truly memorable experience this last summer. The location is fantastic - just a few blocks from the Old Course. The rooms are clean and well appointed. But what sets the place apart are the owners. Mick and Chris Cordner are true hosts. Starting with a great breakfast and finishing with priceless stories and advise on local attractions and of course...

A group of 8 golfers from the U.S. Midwest stayed here for a week in October, 2016, and we couldn't have been more pleased. The location is perfect - about a block from the 1st tee of the Old Course. There were plenty of bars and restaurants within a short walk. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The breakfast was...

Great experience when coming to look at the university last year - Michael and Chris were so helpful last year and the breakfast was delicious. Hence staying again this year. Clean, warm, easily accessible, we both had keys, Michael helped us find a car parking spot on arrival. Street parking and we always found a parking space. Sumptuous breakfasts meant...

Enjoyable stay here made even more so with the hosts' help with securing a game on the Old Course. Breakfast was tasty and plentiful and being so central you can walk just about everywhere you would want to go. Room well looked after. Only downside was the very small bathroom in the single room. But that's only a very minor...
