I stayed here for two nights and thought it was great. John cooks a wonderful breakfast. Room very clean. Tunnock biscuits with tea! Excellent shower. Well placed as just a very short walk into centre of town - takes 5 minutes max. Lovely steam with ducks at the bottom of the garden. Would definitely stay here again.

This lovely b&b was ideally located about 10 mins walk from the bus station and less than 5 from the town centre. The house is spotlessly clean and bedroom was well equipped - comfortable bed, good shower, TV/DVD with really good selection of DVDs to watch, tea/coffee and biscuits. The owner, John, was very welcoming and helpful but never intrusive....

My mother and I stayed in the two rooms that John offers his guests. John is incredibly accommodating helping my mother who had difficulty walking get cabs whenever we needed them. He offered advice on travel to Edinburgh and provided the most sumptuous breakfast I've seen at a bed-and-breakfast. If I'm ever back in St Andrews I wouldn't hesitate to...

In the bedroom, bathroom and breakfast room, John had attended to every last detail. This tucked-away gem of a B&B is comfortable, clean and quiet -- apart from the noisy seagulls! His breakfasts were delicious and the freshly-laid eggs from his "girls" in the garden were an extra bonus. Born and bred in St Andrews, John's tourist tips (e.g. the...

We stayed for three nights to visit our son at the uni and had a very relaxing stay at the Spindle. John, the owner couldn't have been more helpful and the breakfast he prepared was second to none and really sets one up for the day!!

We stayed here two nights and would highly recommend this lovely B and B run by John the host. He has top level experience in hospitality and it tells, from the tastefully executed bedrooms, powerful showers and marvellous breakfast. The main attraction is the lovely position down by the Kinnessburn. It is close to town but like being in the...

I was visiting St Andrews for a school reunion and found The Spindle online as it had been several years since I was last in St A's and was unsure of hotels/B&Bs in the area. From my initial enquiry I was impressed with the speed that John the proprietor replied to me with details of the cost of a one...

John was really helpful and went out of his way when we booked with them to accommodate my wife who is gluten free. Highly recommend by both of us. We hope to be visiting St Andrews later in the year and we will be phoning Spindle first to see if they have rooms.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for one night in Sept for our anniversary and we were both very pleased with our choice of accomodation. A beautiful cottage in a very pretty setting. Lovely room, easy walk to town and a yummy breakfast. Johm made us both feel very welcome and we'd certainly return.

My husband and I have just returned from an overnight stay in The Spindle B & B. We plan to return. Our double room was immaculate, beautifully presented and very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and John, the proprietor and charming host, was keen to address our every need - even down to fudge in the bedroom (and a small teddy...
