I stayed here for 6 nights just recently, and have to give this place 5 stars. When making the booking, as a single, there weren't any available (single) rooms, but I was allowed to stay in one of the family rooms for the same price (as a single room). This was intended for the first two nights, until one of...

Our stay with Stuart and Elizabeth at Shandon House was lovely. The rooms were well appointed, the breakfast was worth getting up for and the atmosphere was welcoming and comfortable - like a visit with family! Be sure to have a discussion with Stuart about the dancers in the painting - like all strong women she is leading. Many thanks...

Liz and Stuart were really great hosts for our golf stay in August. Their home is very close to the Old Course (5 minute walk) and has ample parking nearby. Stuart was helpful with restaurant recommendations, and Liz gave us a map of the town to help us explore. The full breakfasts were a great start to the day of...

We stayed here three nights earlier in June. Liz and Stuart are very accommodating hosts and the B&B is in a great location. They seemed to cater nicely to golfers and non-golfers alike. Would have enjoyed a bit more variety in morning baked goods, but the porridge, cereal and hot breakfasts were superb. A top notch experience.

First there is the location--on a quiet parking square a short walk from everything but away from the hustle and bustle and thus quiet. Easy to amble down to golf with your clubs or after the round over to all the new food spots. Not here for golf but the university? One long block. It is perfect. Second there is...

I stayed one night only at Shandon House and really wish I'd been staying longer. Liz is a very welcoming host, who chatted amicably as she showed me to my room. My room was very clean and comfortable and my mattress, pillows and duvet were excellent. Breakfast was also excellent, and Liz cooks a very good poached egg. I definitely...

I stayed at Shandon House for one week and, in a word...Tranquil. I was warmly welcomed by Stuart and Elizabeth and shown to my room on the third floor...The room was welcoming, bright, pristine, comfortable and homely. I would come back to my lodgings after travelling, walking, socialising, whatever the situation may be, and be envelope in a beautiful freshness,...

In the half term holidays, my mum, brother and I travelled to Scottland to visit my sister at university. My mum booked shandon house because she told me it was amazing service as she had previously stayed here before. When we arrived we were greated by the most kind and considerate hosts (Liz and Stewart) they certainly make you feel...

We stayed here for two nights in November while attending our son's graduation. It is impossible to rate it anything less than perfect as we own a B&B and can honestly say that Shandon House is run almost exactly as we run our own property and of course ours is perfect too! The room was clean, warm and comfortable and...

A real home from home from two wonderful hosts in Liz and Stuart. Immaculate warm hotel with lovely cosy rooms and all mod cons. Right in the heart of St Andrews and a stones throw from all the major courses and attractions. Very reasonably priced and as travelling business people, the best breakfasts we've had anywhere, beautifully prepared and made...
