Loved staying at Stravithie castle. We only stayed 1 night sadly, but we were put up in the old servants quarters of the Castle, which have been renovated to be small flats for guests. The bed was comfortable, the views were nice from the room, the breakfast was fine, though I see some people complain because they weren't waited on...

Elegant and traditional mansion, dating at least from the seventeen hundreds, surrounded by a large, spotlessly mantained garden. Our acomodation up on one of the towers, was very confortable, spacious, charming. Bathrom facilities modern and efficient with abundant hot water and good-quality towels. Lovely views from the window onto the garden, a lovely stream, the field and then the woods....

This B&B offers a unique opportunity to stay in a real castle estate! Our host was the owner, and he offered us many unique and funny stories about growing up in the castle with his parents and brother. There are many unusual items (alligator head, rams head snuff jar, etc) that had interesting stories as well. Our rooms were in...

What a lovely place to stay. Pity we only stayed one night. It really deserves 2-3 nights to enjoy the place and surrounding area. We had a family suite with separate huge bedrooms, well appointed kitchen and shared bathroom. The hosts were very welcoming and helpful.

We stayed in what was the servants quarters. Our rooms - we had two, overlooked the front of the castle. David gave great advice on where to go for dinner in St Andrews, which is a few minutes drive from the castle. One of the two rooms had a tv but not the room with the king bed. The Internet...

Planned a one week trip to Saint Andrews with another couple to play golf and explore Scotland and were extremely fortunate to stay at Stavithie Castle. Our hosts,, David and his adorable wife welcomed us with open arms. David set us up in 2 very large contiguous rooms on the ground floor with direct access to the back yard where...

From booking-welcome-accomodation-interaction-location it was all perfect. Spacious accomodation on the 2nd floor over looking the back garden and flowing river. Continental breakfast is left in your room/kitchen and was sufficient for us but if you want a cooked breakfast then all is there to make your own. Photos say it all. Will definitely look forward to going back. Thank you...

We stayed 3 nights at Stravithie Castle and found everything to be perfect. We were greeted with a warm welcome, and provided with lots of local information. The castle was easy to find, located at short drive outside of St. Andrew's. Our room was large, immaculate, and very comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful. More than enough food!!! We enjoyed being able...

I was staying for two nights, spacious bedroom with well equipped kitchen off the bedroom. A beautiful setting, a few miles out from St.Andrews, but within easy reach of the golf course and other coastal villages. Also close to Scotlands "secret bunker". A very nice breakfast was placed in the kitchen each day. My room opened up to the lawn...

We booked a family room at this beautiful place with Dave via email and arrived Friday in the evening. The place is kind of hard to find as there are no good visible signs on the road especially at night. The castle is just beautiful and the rooms had a very special ancient charme. It does get cold at night...
