Our room was in the recently remodelled former function suite and was of a decent size with a smart tv on the wall, the bed was large and comfortable. The shower room was toasty warm and had a large shower cubicle with height adjustable shower head and was light and bright.

Spent four nights here, an infrequent return to my home town. The hotel is ideally situated for the two main attractions, The Falkirk Wheel and the Falkirk Kelpies, both very impressive. Room was non-smoking as was the rest of the hotel, comfortable with a quite large bed. We wer

Stopped over 2 nights to visit family, the location is ideal if you want to walk into the town centre. Had a meal in the restaurant on one night and we ate of the main menu, not the 3 for £12 and it was reasonably priced for what you got, and it was very enjoyable, bar area as su

question for the owners do you actually train your staff? cos Amanda does not have a clue how to run a restaurant. why was I told by her that there was none of the specific lager I asked for? I was told there was none. Then a member of staff told me it was because she couldn't be assed getting a key for a room where the kegs are changed!!!!! Also I have tried time and time again to leave complaint after complaint about her on here and my review keeps getting deleted why is this happening?!
David the same thing is happening with my review! I had a bad experience also with this person you have named! I will just leave my review here! to cut a long story short I had phoned in to tell person in charge about dietary issues. spoke to Amanda over the phone and was told she has made a note of this and everything would be all good to go! So turned up on the night. The phone call was pointless as Amanda said it hadn't even taken place!!!!!! I'm sorry but how the hell did I book then?! So anyway we had been sat down drinks ordered upon ordering food we found out that our issue with diets would not be taken care of. Ok I thought mistakes happen she may have just forgotten. Went to pay for drinks so we could go elsewhere and were hit with "you have to pay for your starters!" from Amanda with terrible attitude. Not wanting to make a scene I paid for starters that were part of a set menu that we did not eat from. I asked for the receipt but I was told I couldn't get it. I actually think she may have pocketed the money and receipt either that or she was covering her tracks. Tried to leave a review and it is just disappearing. We as in I and my family were so distressed by Amanda we will NEVER BE BACK. My question is does Amanda have the relevant experience and skills in her job?

has it recently been refurbished
I'm not sure about refurbishment, but the rooms were clean and tidy. Our room was at the back of the hotel over looking the yard and bins. It was a little compact as we had two cases, but fine for an overnight stay.

Is it easy to get to and from the hotel by public means of transport?
Good morning from Glasgow. Yes the hotel is on the main road into Falkirk and buses regularly pass the front of the hotel. There are also two train stations nearby one of which is about a 15 / 20 minute walk or 4 or 5 minutes by bus that passes the hotel. The other train station is only slightly further away. Train times are at a guess every 45 minutes maybe even 30 minutes apart. You can easily get to Edinburgh or Glasgow by train. Hope this helps. Enjoy Scotland. Doug
