I would highly recommend this hostel to anyone staying in Edinburgh for any reason whatsoever, whether it be for the Fringe or otherwise. Very friendly staff, great atmosphere and affordable prices. I would say the only thing wrong with this hostel if anything is that it's not here for the entire year as I would gladly like to see this place here all year round and not just for the Edinburgh Fringe. 5 stars

First time visit in Edinburgh and my SO picked this place. I want to start off by saying that all was going well up until I went to use the toilet facilities. To say that I was flabbergasted and mortified by the smell and lack of hygiene or cleanliness is an understatement. I understand that it is a cheap place to stay and it's what you get for being cheap. I knew that before I went. However, I don't think it costs much to keep the bathrooms clean to some standard. Especially when multiple people are using them and it's prone to bugs etc. The WiFi didn't connect while in the containers and the kitchen was filthy when I went to get some water. The showers in the bathroom didn't work or the ones that did work, hot water wasn't running through them. I will say that my room was clean and tidy and better than what I expected and the staff were lovely. Checking in/out wasn't a problem and I'm aware that there was free tea and coffee. These all get points however, I believe that you just cannot out a price to cleanliness hence the reasoning why I'm giving it one star as the conditions were appalling.

Stayed here for 3 days with my girlfriend, found it to be a friendly place with good facilities if quite messy in the communal areas. However, for the price I cannot fault it, so long as you get a £4 bus pass for the day as it is a little trek outside the city centre, you can't go far wrong. My girlfriend was quite unimpressed with the messiness but seeing as we didn't make use of the kitchen (except for the free coffee 😋) I didn't really mind. The place has a similar vibe to a music festival, which isn't for everyone but I would definitely come again 🥰🤗.

Had the greatest time here! Real nice management, and hospitality was the best! Youth will have a great time there. The showers were fine, only the bed could have been better, en sometimes the toilets were a bit dirty. But that didn't bother me at all.

I've stayed in tons of hostels and grungy places, but this takes the cake. It was a cheap place to stay and we were only here one night so no regrets I guess, but it was nasty. The common areas are typical hostel, but the container bunks where we slept smelled so bad and the bathrooms were a mess.
