Nice enough facilities, polite helpful staff serving. Not sure why they weren't willing to bring in kosher meals. Restrooms were clean. Convenient to Haymarket station area. About a 20 minute walk downtown.

Visited the food and drink show in Edinburgh for the first time. Usually attend the Glasgow show and love it.In comparison Edinburgh did not live upto standards and selection of Glasgow. The stalls were good just not enough of them or space for the amount of people there. We bought vodka and chocolate gifts which are ideal for Christmas presents, just felt that... Visited with work, easily accessible from most places in the city. Did not stay here but no one in our grip did either. Facilities were brilliant and food / catering was fabulous for number of people in the group (>500) Would recommend for large groups.

I am writing this as I have given up trying to sleep. There is a party somewhere above my head which sounds like great fun, however as I am here at a conference to work I am becoming more tired and annoyed. I am surprised that conference accomodation seems to be scattered in among student accomodation and as other reviewers... More

We personally did not stay at the Heriot-Watt but those in our conference that did said it was excellent value and a very pleasant stay. We held a conference for 80 guests. The venue was excellent. We had exclusive use of the conference facilities - one large main auditorium and several break out rooms around it. The lunch was nice,... More

The conference center is pretty nice and the rooms are clean, but the noise level in from room-to-room is terrible. I heard people closing their doors and it sounded like it was the door in my room. Not much sound proof. The rooms are tidy, but if you are spending more than one night and need a good sleep to... More

The rooms are neat and good even though its small! The price is reasonable and right for the place! + the room cleanness. + the break fast. + the service. - distance from city centre. - food choices - as its campus accommodation hard to find shops and after 7 pm every thing is closed.

Now named Edinburgh Conference Center, the place is inside Heriot Watt University, where I was studying. A lady comes to clean everyday. Facilities are in good order. Check out their website.

I stayed for 4 days in the guesthouse of the Heriot-Watt University. The service was good, although the building is building looks rather old. The sleep quality was good, and there was a full Scottish the breakfast included in the price. The only negative aspect was the distance from the city centre (about 40 mintes by bus). The univeristy is... More

As others have noted, this is not the best choice if you are looking for a luxurious stay, with close proximity to the city centre. However, it is an excellent choice for the value traveler. I rarely ride buses, but found the bus service from Heriot-Watt to Princes street to be very easy and convenient. The rooms at the university... More
