I have stayed and eaten at this Hotel often . The staff are very welcoming , excellent service , and the food is lovely . The building is truly amazing set in beautiful surroundings . It is also close by to the main bus route which is handy for that special visit to Edinburgh , approx 8 miles .

This establishment is quite quaint from the outside...walking in your view changes and you think Hmmmmm! What am I doing here? Laminated letters above the restaurant door spell BISTR (yes the O has fallen off and not been replaced). Venturing further you find a tired and dated room in a hotel - no style, ancient furniture, dated table settings etc....
