Cheap and cheerful hotel located right on the main high street with all shops and amenities you could ever need right on your doorstep. Only a short walk to Edinburgh Zoo, this was my reason for choosing this hotel. The rooms were clean, warm and comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was all you can eat and the food...

Booked on the internet it was cheaper than booking in on the premises. Clean and tidy room. Noise from room next door a bit of a nuisance. However Tea and coffee in the room with an overheating hairdrier.

The hotel served us well as a base for exploring the city on our two night break. Bus services 31,26 and 12 run frequently from right outside the hotel into town (£1.50 single each way). Welcome on arrival was underwhelming but fine - note that there is no reception desk. - the Toby Carvery bar is where you collect your...

Searched for a city hotel but didn't want to pay excessive prices of over £100 a night for a room. Fortunately I found this little gem just on the outskirts with good transport links. Based on the price my expectations weren't that high but I was pleasantly surprised. The room and bathroom were a little tired looking but it was...

Stayed here for the location being close to the zoo as the Holiday Inn was fully booked. This was my first experience of a 'Toby' carvery/inn but as they are a UK wide chain I was expecting some standards. The room was fine size wise old furnishings and basic service tray etc. The bed & mattress were the worst I...

We needed a hotel for an Edinburgh weekend and Innkeepers Lodge provided a value option close to the city. Our particular room was very small, but as we weren't there to spend time in the hotel, this didn't present a big issue. The bed had certainly seen better days. On a positive note, although this Inn is located on a...

Just returned from a last minute break in Edinburgh with our 4 year old. The manager and Lisa served us throughout our stay and couldn't have been more helpful or welcoming. The carvery was fine. It is what it is in any Toby. Fill up your plate for a very reasonable price. The apple crumble and custard afterwards was fantastic....

We recently returned from a 3 night stay, the room was average in my opinion. The mattress was very uncomfortable with springs coming through so not a fantastic 3 nights sleep. Quite noisy and had a draught coming in from the window but wasn't overly cold outside so didnt cause too much of a problem. Continental breakfast was included, which...
