The Motel One on Princes street is so easy to access from the train station and central to everything. The hotel is immaculate, with the classic Motel One style. The beds are incredibly comfortable and there is access to the right amenities. Beyond this however, I’d like to mention the staff. They are incredibly welcoming and polite. Offering to help wherever they can. Additionally huge shout out to Carlos for being such a great host. Some of the best customer service :)

The hotel was immaculately clean and the staff were so friendly and helpful which is a great thing. This hotel is right in the city centre which is a good thing as central. Lovely fresh clean white towels and modern room. The only thing is that on my opinion it is very very basic no frills budget style accommodation however not exactly budget price like premier inn or travel lodge.

Last December, I took my girlfriend to see the Lion King for her birthday and afterwards we stayed at Motel One, on Princes Street - as recommended by a member of my family. As this was our first proper night away – I was a little nervous when checking in, however the staff were so incredible with us. They asked if we’d stayed before (we hadn’t) and so the staff upgraded our room to one with a view at no extra charge which was great of them! 🤩 The room was very clean, super modern and the bed was unbelievably comfy! Our room looked out over to Waverley, so we could see all of the Christmas Market from the window.🎄 Obviously COVID Restrictions are impacting what we can and cannot do right now – but I’d very much recommend booking up for the future, if anyone is looking for a (very reasonably priced) night away in Edinburgh!

Excellent service from the Check In staff who were amongst the best we have had in any hotel world wide. Nice clean room. Excellent breakfast adapted for us at a time when the buffet was not possible. Left well rested after a memorable stay in a great location.
