The Aynetree is the perfect base for a sightseeing trip to Edinburgh. The location is ideal, with the bus stop being right outside the front door, and buses every 10mins. Anne & Brian make every effort to make you feel welcome, and their knowledge of the city comes in very handy when you're new to Edinburgh. The food is fantastic...

We loved this place! Having stayed at leagues of B&Bs, this one really stood out for all the right reasons. Overall, an excellent place to stay. The hosts, Anne and Brian, were so warm and pleasant, and they went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and welcome. They even gave us a lift the night we arrived,...

Aynetree Guesthouse was a great base for our trip to Edinburgh for Hogmanay 2008. The guesthouse was very clean, tidy and welcoming and the Scottish breakfast was excellent! Although Aynetree Guesthouse is outside the city centre, the buses (of which there are loads!) stop right outside, so getting around isn't a problem at all. Brian and Ann were both really...

We stayed the same night as the couple from San Diego, & believe me they had mouldy bread. My son & I were very surprised. We paid upfront, not an issue, the room was clean & comfortable. But at breakfast we felt we were being difficult when we didn't want the full scotish Breakfast, only bacon & eggs. I really...

What puzzles my wife Anne and myself is why did this guest wait for aprox. 8 months before putting in a comment. "Believe me the bread was mouldy". We have never served mouldy bread and hopefully never will. All comments regarding our breakfast are extremely favourable. If these two guests had mouldy bread then was it a different batch of...

After a day at Musselburgh Racecourse my partner and I stayed at the Ayntree Guest House. We had arranged a later check in and upon arrival we were greeted by Brian who was very nice. The room was immaculate and comfortable. Date: 02.10.2008 Reviewer: Doris, Michelle&Conny This was our first holiday in Edinbugh and and our first experience with bed&breakfast. Although the weather was't the finest - for my taste it was freezing - I get cold very easily, our holiday was really enjoyable. The B&B of Brian and Anne was perfect. It was clean, friendly and the most important fact...

We booked on historic Scotland and were suprised about a few things...that they charged us in advance and asked us to settle up our first day there. Not bad but a little odd. The room was clean and spacious and close to a good bus stop with a nice park accross the street. Brian was friendly and extremely helpful but...

My name is ANNE. After reading your review I was amused at my description as Brians' wife. My name is Anne and has been for a long time. When you checked in you were told my name and we also communicated in e.mails. I have been called other things in my lifetime but being "difficult to deal with" has never been...
